The hurt, sorrow, confusion and even guilt, in his children's hearts, because of the breakup, in their eyes, he has completely failed his duty as a father. It’s being speculated that Giselle is waiting for a big gesture from Tom before she reconsiders. So it sounds like if he apologized profusely and swore that this is absolutely his last year she might not go through with it.
Is he willing to do that? Will she be happy if he’s just calling the games not playing in them, that’s still a pretty big commitment. I think she just wants some kind of sign that he’s willing to shoulder more of the family responsibilities than he has.
