The QB is always more valuable then the coach. They’re the one playing. A coach can only effect so much. But if you don’t at least have a decent QB, you don’t stand a chance. Give Belichick someone like Derek Carr and they’re probably 5-2.
By that logic every single player on the roster is more valuable than the coach...they're the ones playing. Give Jeff Fisher Derek Carr. System matters. Continuity matters. Innovation within the coaching matters. Most of the people drafted into the NFL are supremely talented what happens next a lot of times is on the coach/gm. How many great qbs were battered to a pulp and sucked?

And I don't think anyone here is saying you don't need at least a decent qb to win in the nfl or that tom brady isn't a decent qb so I don't understand that point.

Belicheat chose a shit QB. Question is whether that was part of the design. That dude is always a few moves ahead of everyone else man.

Any franchise that cheated the way Billechek and Brady did would have had a Dynasty"

Cheating is the Patroit secret to success, and has been for over 10 years.

I don't know. Today, it looks even more so that Brady was more important than BB.
I cannot believe how much some of you like Bill. Ick.
I hate both of them. But that shouldn't stop a discussion on which of the two is more valuable.

‘It was a question that received an answer. Not my blood oath to Belechick for crying out loud.

The Patriots lost not only Brady but 8 players including studs like Chung, Hightower, and Marcus Cannon to opt outs.

Couple that with no off season too. and stack that with Cam getting covid too.

Tom is missed and was the most important player on their squad, but they have been dealt several more bad hands than the Bucs.

I guess some clarification is needed? Sheesh.

Coach and QB are on even levels when it comes to importance to a team. But the QB is the coach on the field.

If the Patriots lost Belichick and kept Brady, there would probably still be some continuity for a few years because of the culture he instilled. But losing arm talent and the ability to recognize coverages with Brady is obviously going to be harder to overcome regardless of the system.

Better?

The evidence so far is showing that Brady was more instrumental in the Patriots Dynasty ... than Bill B was.

Agree?
I love Brady. Everyone said when he turned 40 that would be it. The guy proves everyone wrong all the time. He could probably play another 10 years.
Was he more important than Belicheck? Not sure about that...they're a quarterback short of a team like a lot of teams. These guys dont grow on trees.

My only serious question is ... which of the two do you choose as MORE important? Please don't say both. One has to edge out the other a little bit. It's no exactly even. Seems like you're choosing both of them. ;) I'm only asking for your opinion. There will not be a pop quiz later. But you're replies are not choosing one over the other as MORE important. We all know they both had importance.

I'll take that as a vote that Brady was the more important of the two.

I know Belicheck has an average team this year in talent ... However, Brady is in the damn playoffs again.

All evidence points to the fact that Brady was the more valuable of the two all these years. BB couldn't even get a .500 team with Cam Newton at QB.

Don't get me wrong. I HATE Brady. I hope he loses his first playoff game in horrible fashion, even a little injury would be nice.

But Tom was the more valuable of the Brady / Belicheck dou. This season has shown it.

Brady wins the press game that’s for sure .... when the Buccaneers win its Brady ... when they lose Arians can’t coach.

I dunno, the patsies lost more than Brady this year. Half their best players decided to opt out before the season started. They were a shell of the team on the field from last year.
Personally I believe BB and Adams did some of their best work this year.

So Brady was the reason the Rams were held to 3 points in the SB?
And Brady is the reason why Tampa went from 29th in points allowed to 12th this season?
Scoring wise they fell back from 3rd in scoring in 2019 to 8th this year.
Tampa’s offense was great last year, and upgraded the talent this year, adding Gronk, Brown and Fournette. And despite those upgrades, Brady slips 5 spots and yet he gets the credit?
Good grief. Brady fan-boys are too much
