It's called public perception.Full disclosure Barry and I went to school together. I played ball with his little brother and Barry was always kind to me. We knew his family growing up. The son of a major league. Ball player is always difficult. He didn’t know he handled it well but very is a sincere person And a very giving person. maybe strongly opinionated ones on this board have no idea about.
Albert Pulhols couldn’t hold Bonds jock. From age 15 on Bonds was the greatest athlete I ever saw. Football basketball and baseball. His dad made him drop one sport senior year so he dropped Football. But I believe he could have gone pro as a receiver. He was a natural.
And say what you will, but he respects the game and he respects others.
Maybe some guys in glass houses shouldn’t come so strong with their judgements.
Clean? He was also an arrogant fuckstick who couldn’t deal with not having attention. He didn’t need to do the cream and the clear to be a HOFer. Griffey Jr. was clean and beloved. Albert Pujols was clean and beloved, even though he was never a media guy, much like Bonds.
Bonds was an arrogant, greedy attention whore.

I 110% agree!!!I'll always be a Yankees fan but despise MLB as a whole. The holier than thou treatment of the steroid era that MLB initially endorsed is just sickening to me. Hypocrisy is the backbone of MLB. Barry Bonds was the best player in baseball long before his hat size grew.
I 110% agree!!!
He passed every drug test the MLB administered to him during his career. As far as I'm concerned he's one of the best to ever play baseball...... even though he was a Giant.... lord I hate that team.
And everyone cheats to some degree in sports..... I'm sure some of you played sports and how many times did your coach tell you "if you're not cheating you're not trying." That was good enough for me, especially when I was lined up against someone that was bigger and faster than me... When the opportunity presented itself I would pull their thumb out of its socket.
I play boccia (the disabled version of bocce). I play by ethics and sportsmanship. I have never once stooped to cheating, and the thought has never crossed my mind.
Don't assume everyone thinks the same as you do.
You never threw a Boccia club into the spokes of another guys wheel chair? Mem, I'm calling BS on you!!![]()
Oh that's right I've played Bocce a few times. Mixing it up with Croque I suppose. Not clubs: balls. Basics of the sport is that each person has six balls (red and blue), two chances each (starting with red) to throw a white ball called the "jack" and their first of six. Goal is to get as many of your colored balls as close to the jack as possible in those four rounds, highest score wins. If it's a tie, the ball goes to the middle of the court, and your goal is to get one of yours as closer than your opponent.
I also played basketball in my freshman/sophomore years in high school, and the only bad foul I ever took was a reach-in. I was a hard-nosed defending point guard (couldn't shoot worth a damn), but not to the point of dirtiness or cheating.
I don't stoop to cheating. I don't talk when it's someone else's turn to throw. I don't even like running up the score in boccia. The thought of playing in an unsportsmanlike manner has honestly never, ever crossed my mind. I guess that's how I was raised, and how utterly disappointed I was at Mark McGwire as a Cardinals fan.
Well that's good for you.I play boccia (the disabled version of bocce). I play by ethics and sportsmanship. I have never once stooped to cheating, and the thought has never crossed my mind.
