I think this is the perfect week to introduce Jarquez Hunter to the NFL. Show everybody that 3-headed monster. JMHO.
They all will have serious blocking assignments, so whoever it is better be able to stand them up like kw does. Go, Rams!

I think it’s difficult to use three RBs in one game, unless it’s a very heavy running team or gameplan. Plus, McVay rarely splits the work between even two backs.

Through two games, Williams and Corum have combined for just 41 rushes. That’s just over 20 a game.

I would like to see Williams (14-16), and Corum (10-14) combining for 26-30 rushes on Sunday.

Also want to see Hunter but think any meaningful playing time will have to wait for an injury. Which, unfortunately, I think is inevitable.

One of the strengths of RBBC is the competition you can get going between your backs. Where they feed off each other and that depth can offer you consistent production week to week. This is the first year we've had real depth in the backfield. And it's a really good sign to see Corum show up finally, looking like the dude we drafted.

Maybe in a month or so our rook will get involved in that mix too. Which would be really nice for the playoff run.
Some of us recall the days of Cullen Bryant and Wendell "all great backs fumble" Tyler during the '79 Super Bowl season. It was a pretty good switch up in styles / speed of play, and the problems that this can cause for defenses.
Maybe we'll see some of that with this group, although they're not likely in the same backfield together, like it was during that period of football.
And hey Wendell ........ it's still a hard 'no they don't' .

I expect a lot of passing today.
I think McVay will want to try to exploit the Eagles pass D. Lots of quick passes with more running (assuming the passing game works) mixed in later.
What will be interesting to me is to see how the Rams defense holds up vs the Eagles. Must contain the edge. Some defensive injuries do not help.
Looking for Davis to gave a good game in the trenches.

I really like what Corum showed vs the Titans. He just came in and blasted off some big runs, and his quickness to hit the hole and find the gap was amazing. 2 different runners and using Blake more offers a nice change of pace. Get used to one guy slithering and slashing then here comes the other guy cracking through like a lightning bolt with incredible 2nd effort.

I'm thinking Corum will be the more effective back today, because they'll need to get outside on runs to get away from the two beasts the middle of Eagles D.

Corum is going to be huge today. Him and Tutu I think make some massive plays for us today in our victory.

A long TD run? Was Gurley legitimately the last time we had a 20+ yard TD run?

Agree I have been worried about Kyren since preseason. He carried a big load last year
Which is why I am all for Blake getting as many carries as we can afford to give him.
Would make for a fresher Kyren for playoffs

Well Corum was pretty good today - you were halfway right.

Hate to even start this subject up again, but we need a dominant center to compete with Philly. It seems McVay has to fool them because they have such a mismatch in the middle of the line. Same thing back when they had Cox and we had Sullivan or Allen etc...

LAMPKIN. FUCK the fucking Eagles. I hate those pricks more than the Cardinals. Not as much as the 69ers, Seahags or - especially - Cheatriots, but I really hate that fucking team.

I read up that the Colts are one of the best team in the NFL this season at stopping duo/inside zone runs this year and not great stopping the outside runs. I think we will get more of a 50/50 split with Kyren/Corum this game for this very reason. Corum is a fair amount better running outside IMO.

Corum just seems to have more burst and hits those holes faster. It's obvious the game has slowed down for him. He made a few cuts in that Eagles game that were elite moves. Kyren is good, but it wouldn't surprise me if Corum out snaps him every now and then if he keeps this up.
