Yeah, weird move.
In regards to Bills move: I think any doubt about Beane being in control and wrestling everything to protect his job is probably out the window now. My guess is that whispers about him around the league, his draft history and a out of touch owner were only confirmed by the sh*t show of a press conference they had. They effectively neutered the draw of working with a top 3 QB and ended up going with a guy they knew could already work within the power structure set forth.

Also, Brady may just be a coach for a soft reset and jettisoned in 2-3 years.

Way I see it as well. Everything starts with the owner.

Allen's so talented that maybe they can win it all with him putting the team on his back. Just not likely. And they let a lot of defensive know-how and leadership go out that door with McDermott's firing, so it's hard not to expect a dip for a defense that was already not quite what you want for the playoff run (12th).

I'd like to see McDermott join our staff by the way. He's a good defensive mind.

It really is.

Grew-up in Queens. Bicycle-ride to Shea Stadium where the Jets played when I was a boy.

Half my family and many friends are life-long Jest fans (sufferers) ... good, smart, decent human beings ... EXCEPT ... when it comes to the Jets where a high majority are Lunatics.
Imagine a Rams' Vent Thread (times ten) all-the-time.

Aaron Glenn seemed clueless with how to handle the dopey local sports media.

The man played in the NFL for 15 years ... more than half in New York ... but didn't have a clue.
Now, after just one year, Glenn has changed both coordinators.
