Nate imo gets the HC but Shula seems to the betters choice. I could see both get a gig.

Or here's an option. Shula gets a HC job and convinces McVay to let LaFluer be his OC with play calling duties. Then Scheelhaase becomes OC to get a job next year.

Before Morris was fired, McVay had 32 ex-coaches on 15 NFL teams. Whew! And he's probably adding more this off season!!! The team with the most is Minnesota (6).

Cant be surprised by anything but Nate has only 2 years in the NFL, seems a little early. I think a lot of these interviews are done with oc/dc in mind. Kill 2 birds and all that

Like a lot of NFL things nothing would surprise me. Talking to fans of some teams with HC openings they're hearing about him as a real candidate.

When McVay is in the mix the Pass Game Coordinator title is probably about equal to OC in the minds of owners.

If I'm LaFleur I'd only leave for a HC job. Being McVay's OC is a prized position. HC is only a matter of time provided you do the job well.

But if you jump with another coach you're introducing unknowns. No way I'd do that unless McVay tells me he wants Nate in my job.

I get it but you still have your ties to McVay and actually calling plays is a resume enhancer. You're doubling your value doing this. I doubt McVay would tell him to leave but I'm sure they both know the benefit if him calling plays.

Couple "Predictions" by young Danny as the NFL trade deadline approached ...

"Saints Trade Rashid Shaheed to the Denver Broncos"
... wish Danny had gotten that one right ... Shaheed's punt-return for a TD was huge in the Seattle game

"Rams Trade Jimmy Garappolo to the Minnesota Vikings"
... I kid you not ... Danny actually mis-spelled Garoppolo in the title

This what I'm hoping for. I'd like to see Nate as our OC.
