Yes, he's been replaced by Harland Svare.

Now more seriously it seems new Bengal Head Coach Zac Taylor is going to make a mistake and hire Dom Capers as his DC.

He’s trying to follow the McVay model like it’s a cookie recipe.

*One cup fresh young offensive mind.
*A pinch of an old salty defensive leader to give your mixture some depth.
*A couple cups of brown sugar free agents.
*Vanilla preseason to taste for the element of surprise.

trouble is, if your fresh young offensive mind is an off brand, and your old salt went rancid, the cookies are going to taste like crap.

We’ve got ourselves a good recipe boys. Not sure the young Taylor, or Lefleur are ready for this.

It's gonna be a different deal for Taylor and Lefleur. Pressure is on!

When McVay was hired, correct me if I'm wrong, but expectations were very low...at least coming out of the gate, right? No one expected much from a baby head coach at 31 years old taking over a 4-12 team with a bust for a QB.

So, what's the expectation for Taylor and Lefleur? They better win their divisions and make the playoffs next season at the very least, right? That's what McVay did!

I predict it ain't gonna work for these two. Pressure is to high to match McVay's accomplishments. The roof is gonna fall in on them as the losses stack up.

And in LaFleur's case, he has to be Aaron Rodger's bitch, meaning he has all of the responsibility but a reduced amount of authority.

Honestly, it won't surprise me if one or both of those guys someday end up back with the Rams under McVay again.

Damn, that would hurt.

I feel you brother.

I look at it this way, McVay can chose good peeps.

And there are always good peeps to be chosen.

It is a GREAT problem to have. And I hope it continues.

The Pats lost their DC last year and this year they held their SB opponent who was the highest scoring team to three points.

Just trying to share perspective.

I am confident Pleasant ain’t goin’ anywhere. Why would he leave a Super bowl contender to run the show in that dysfunctional franchise? Especially when in all likelihood he replaces Wade next year or following?

Why would the Bengals be okay with a first time head Coach and a first time DC? Other than maybe no choice. If things go bad I guess Callahan is the interim coach. Not optimal.

It wasn't long ago that the Bengals seemed to be set. Things can fall apart quickly. I don't like the Taylor hire at all and he seems to be having trouble completing his staff on the defense. That's not a good sign.
