Not surprised. He was easily one of the worst GMs in the league, and he lost too much as a coach.

Never liked the guy. Even at Penn State his personality sucked. Many credit him for keeping that team together but his wins came on the backs of Paternos defensive players. When he left he was full of sour grapes. I predicted then that he couldn’t handle being a HC in the NFL. It surprised me that he lasted this long.

They got better today, for sure..Some of his moves have had me wondering how much living brain tissue he has... Of course in my humble opinion, what they gained they gave right back with Crennel running that shit show for a while....He's a joke in my opinion...

I can't believe nobody decided this wasn't the thing to do before he traded Hopkins for the shell of David Johnson.

I‘m just wondering how the Mike McCarthy era will play out in Dallas. I didn‘t get that hire, in some ways.

He seems “old game“, to me. Dak and Zeke peak years under the right staff there... I dunno?

As far as O’Brien, he probably lost part of the locker room with the Hopkins trade if I had to guess.

The Texans needed to start strong or you could see it happening. It did.

Some Coaches never learn, McCarthy in Green Bay stayed far too long with Dom Capers and because of that the Packers lost many games because of defense. Enter the new Larry Marmie in Mike Nolan, that's the hire I didn't get, but Nolan hired McCarthy as OC in San Francisco and McCarthy returned the favor hiring Nolan as DC, when Nolan had not been a DC since 2012-2014 and those defensives were 27th overall or worse.

I will never understand this, now, it's one thing to offer a friend as position coach, but McCarthy should have kept Kris Richard as DC and might have to bring him back to save this season otherwise the Dallas defense is going to be one of their worst in their history.

Eric Bieniemy, IMO would be an excellent hire here, now they have to hire a GM too and most likely will do that first, but it's time Eric Bieniemy. gets his shot. He doesn't call plays, but neither did Doug Pederson or Chris Nagy and somehow they have gotten their shot.

Now the Texans did try to hire Patriots Executive Nick Caserio and got hit with tampering charges, so that is a possibility and if that happens, you will start to hear the Josh McDaniels Rumors, but if Cal McNair wants the direct opposite of O'Brien, that is Bieniemy and I would take a chance on him as the Andy Reid tree is a good one.

Well, the Falcons lost a lot of players during the game. But had they been at full strength, the Packers aren't as good as people think.

They're 4-0 dude. No turnovers. Top 5 in passing, 3 sacks to Aaron, 4th highest rushing, 2nd most TDs scored, average defensively in yards but top 10 in sacks.

I'm not sure what your definition of good is, but those parameters suggest it as such.

Ah, keep thinking that. They look good now. But it won't last. But, that being said, I hope they keep scoring high in games and set the new record for most points in a season. See, no team that set the record for most points in season has ever won the super bowl.

I'm hearing a lot of this in discussion of the top teams this year. I've been guilty myself.

The offenses around the league are so good right now, that it is making some quality defenses look pedestrian and quite average at best.

My point is that Green Bay is an elite NFC team right now because they're scoring at will with a D that's just good enough to get some key stops. So is Seattle. The Rams, Bucs might be in that class too.
