Or a CB and ILB/developmental OT.

I really think the need for a new TE is being exaggerated due to the perceived strength and depth of this year’s TE class.

CB, ILB and OT3 are far bigger needs.

If I'm being truly candid I'd like two CBs. Unrealistic however.

How's the big smoke this morning? Were you up all night and all?

Looking at the rest of the board I think we have to strongly consider trading up for Burden depending on our evaluation of his football character and culture fit.

But hell if we can get OBJ to integrate, it would seem odd if we can't get this kid to be a team player. I'm no psychologist but unlike Sanders just watching some of Burden's interviews and how his coach sticks up for him I think the diva rumors have been way overblown.

Show me a coach who doesn’t vouch for their star player?

In public yes. Not behind closed doors. It's like letters of recommendation. Professors know that their word matters for their future students so they're not just gonna say "yeah that a-hole is a great kid!". but that could be why he slid

Lots of guys available who will fill positions of need. No way on earth at 46 the Rams draft a DT, Edge, OG, C, or OLB, in my opinion. Gotta be OT, CB, TE, WR, or ILB.
They just seem to believe they can fill that ILB spot with "a guy". I'd be surprised I'd they went there at 46. But we will see.

1. Amos -CB
2. Revel - CB
3. M.Green - Edge
4. Emmanwori - Safety/LB
5. W.Johnson - CB
6. Arroyo - TE
7. M.Taylor - TE
8. Burden - WR
9. Noel - WR
10. Schwesinger - MLB
11. T.Harris - WR
12. Morrison - CB
13. K.Williams - WR
14. Az Thomas - CB

I'd feel pretty good about one of these guys.
You don't like Higgins or do you think he'll be gone by 46? With Puka's injury history and Adams getting up there in age I definitely want to go WR although Whittington was impressive last year.

I wonder what player is targeted on the Rams board? I believe it will depend on what trades McSnead might have on their minds like acquiring Jalen Ramsey or other players of need. I was hoping to get Jihaad Campbell, which we could have gotten at #26, but that didn't happen.

I wonder how things will play out at the next draft with the Rams having the Falcons #1 pick plus the #32 pick after the Rams win the Super bowl? There should be enough draft capital to trade up to get a good QB or to trade for a solid QB like we did for Stafford.
What did they try to do last offseason? They wanted Mike Evans, then tried to trade for Courtland Sutton.

If it’s true, they tried to trade up for Tet McMillan.

So is it likely that they still want a bigger receiver that can high point the ball and be a red zone threat?

I keep going back to Ayomanor. Maybe they like Thornton but he seems like a one trick pony. Maybe it’s a tight end who is a real red zone threat.

Otherwise maybe they feel the need to replace Hoecht’s production. Is that guy on the roster already? I’m not so sure.

They could use a corner but a lot of the corners in the draft are not sure tacklers. That safety from Texas, Mukumba hits like a truck. Maybe they see a guy like that as a bet to shore up the run defense.

The only real tell I see is that they keep looking for a red zone receiving threat though.

OBJ wasn’t even there for half of a season. I wouldn’t count that. One thing that keeps coming up is Dawg mentality for Rams draft picks. It doesn’t sound like Burden has it.
"Jalen Milroe here we come!!!"

-Loyal
I still wouldn’t mind the Rams picking him. He could instantly add to the offense in certain situations like QB sneaks and short yardage plays. Fake to Kyren and have Milroe run around the end for a 50 yard gain.

How would you figure ILB is a bigger need? Landman may be unknown to us, but he was a starter last year and played pretty well for Atlanta. Speights played well.

ILB, given how we view the position and the players, is one of the lesser needs. Probably won't be drafted until much later.

CB/TE/T/WR are all in the same boat - all have starters for this year, but all may need new starters for next year. And yes, Witherspoon/Williams are probably a similar caliber player to Higbee when all are healthy. Atwell and Whittington are currently WRs 3/4. We have nothing at T behind Jackson and Hav and that is a scary place to be given they have both missed time in recent years.

I think we are likely drafting two offensive players tonight.
