I'll concede that it is valid circumstantial evidence. But usually to prove a case you need more than one piece of circumstantial evidence; direct evidence is much better.Yeah, damn that circumstantial evidence!
I for one am glad we didn't spend a 1st on him. Love that we look like we can set up for a move on a QB who has the potential to be quite a bit better than him next year.
I think they address DL with one of the 6th rounders. They like to add DL every year and let them develop and then move on from the Sebastian Joseph Day, Bobby Brown III, Greg Gaines types that they use as cheap depth rotational picks and then let them return comp picks when they sign elsewhere.I could also foresee a NT to spell Ford though it may come later in the draft at round 3. I’m sure it still stings Les and Sean they were a good NT away from winning the superbowl.
If you think a good nose tackle was all that the defense needed to stop Philly you’re delusional. He may have run through the nose tackle hole but he also ran through and away from every linebacker and defensive back that they had behind that NT. Rams defense in the backend lacks talent at LB, CB and safety.I could also foresee a NT to spell Ford though it may come later in the draft at round 3. My best available for the Rams:
Will Johnson CB
Mason Taylor TE
Shavon Revel Jr. CB
Luther Burden III WR
Carson Schwesinger ILB
Mike Green EDGE
Aireontae Ersery OT
Trey Amos CB
Darius Alexander DT
Harold Fannin Jr. TE
Really worried that Johnson's knee is going to give me Gurley in the super bowl flashbacks.I'm really feeling cornerback for our #2 pick. I think a solid CB would get the most overall return and bang for our buck with the defense this coming season. More so than a stud ILB. So, from your list, here's my hopes for the Rams next pick:
1st Choice: Will Johnson CB
2nd Choice: Trey Amos CB
3rd Choice: Shavon Revel Jr. CB (Still nervous about the injury though, so maybe take a pass on him)
2 of the 3 have injuries that should make you nervous. Amos appears to be healthy and ready to go. That said, Will Johnson is a top 15 talent when healthy. Hell, Revel may be as well.I'm really feeling cornerback for our #2 pick. I think a solid CB would get the most overall return and bang for our buck with the defense this coming season. Not really. So a tough decision.
That's why I'm hoping for a small trade down and swapping 3rd with someone to pick near the top of 3rd. I do really want Fannin in 3rd but think we are picking too late for him.Best playmaker 9n the board whether CB or WR. Unfortunately both positions fall off quite a bit by the time we get to pick 90. So a tough decision.
I just don't like him... gives me Gerald Everett vibes...and he runs like a duck. Lol!That's why I'm hoping for a small trade down and swapping 3rd with someone to pick near the top of 3rd. I do really want Fannin in 3rd but think we are picking too late for him.
True, would expect Adams back next year with Nacua. The 3 DBs could all be gone by next year. Not really.
Starting WR: Adams, Nacua, Atwell
Starting CB: Williams, Durant, Witherspoon
Same with me. The whole Gurley situation was sad, and I don't want the Rams going through anything like that again.Really worried that Johnson's knee is going to give me Gurley in the super bowl flashbacks.
also, maybe the Rams were after Dart and refused a trade with the Giants. Possible too, right?Concerning Dart and the Giants. If I remember the trade with the Giants correctly it is more likely that they wanted to trade with the Rams, but the Rams wanted more and Houston took less.
I forgot about Johnson. Looked him up and he's had a knee injury, toe injury, etc. Man, these are all three decent cb prospects. I guess Amos is the safe bet.2 of the 3 have injuries that should make you nervous. Amos appears to be healthy and ready to go. That said, Will Johnson is a top 15 talent when healthy. Morrison is potentially the best of the lot. Pity about the injuries.I forgot about Johnson. Looked him up and he's had a knee injury, toe injury, etc. Man, these are all three decent cb prospects. I guess Amos is the safe bet.
