Football strategy is so much more complicated than what a lot of armchair play callers make it. It's not about "hey lets throw long passes" or "hey lets throw some more short passes."

It's about what type of structures the defense is playing, match ups, and a million other things.

Not trying to be a dick.. but the questioning of McVay's play calling is amusing to me.

Do not see that, I just have concerns of the recent play calling and how it looks feast or famine where the offense can go from Cooper Kupp looking like Torry Holt to Fisher's stagnant offense when it isn't working. Back then, it'd be easy to identify those issues with him play calling to 45+ pass attempts per game; now it looks like other defenses have adjusted well regardless of pass attempts. Could say it's an O-line issue but a quick, short passing offense theoretically doesn't require that kind of protection.

I'm sorry if this has been stated in other posted prior to this, I haven't had the time to go back. Does anyone else agree that they are far more excited to see Henderson in the backfield then Gurley at this point? He looks to have far more juice and rarely if ever goes down on first contact, whereas Gurley seems to throw himself to the ground or directly into a pile of defenders fairly often. Love me some Gurley, but it appears Henderson is the more effective back right now.
