I'm hoping we don't need to blitz - we are going to need the numbers on the back end. Getting pressure with 4 feels like the key on defense. If we do blitz - we need to get there.

The Bucs aren't going to be stupid on offense.
They'll look at Niner/Titans film and design ways to get the run going using over pursuit. Brady will get it out quick, throw between the numbers and not let our pass rush destroy the game. I expect they'll move the ball well and get points.

Rams have been doing a good job the past month and a half in snuffing out early reads. Bucs aren't exactly long on good matchups either, now that they don't have either Brown or Godwin. Rams probably win 2 of 3 plus have a good rush on top of that.
So yeah I think right now the Bucs know that they're up shit creek if they don't run the ball. Their gameplan is gonna be trying to bully their way to victory on both sides of the ball.

I just rewatched their game vs the Eagles.
They have Vaughn who is a fast one cut runner with little wiggle and average vision and Bernard who they were using effectively on screens.
Vaughn does have fresh legs so we have to make sure to tackle well. Neither are bruisers so not worried.
My main concern is the screen type plays which they run really well.

I think Donald and company are as well, yet some games ive seen even mediocre olines hold off our front long enough to let a qb complete passes. The Philly D gave Brady a very short window to work with, and I've seen Brady get sacked quite a few times from a well timed blitz. I think both can work in our favor.
I think its going to be Giovani Bernard and Fournette active on game day. At least, Fournette is talking like he'll play on his twitter.

They fucking lost all those games just to scout them out! The ole Belichick strategy. Shiiiiit, wouldn't even surprise me if McVay planned that 9er meltdown just to get a favorable playoff path. Fucking genius I tell ya! (half blue font).
One of the things that worries me about this game is the Bucs d-line. Vita Vea is a load, and if they target him to bull rush any one of our interior lineman, it could get ugly. Other than that, I also believe the Rams will win if they play smart and don't turn the ball over.
Yeah he is a hell of a player period. I think he needs to be doubled because otherwise he'll eat Allen. So hopefully the Rams shelve the zone read for a week and run some power.
Also and btw I'd run it up the gut on them too. They just got their ILBs back and will be quick to the edge. So mash those fuckers hard with power and bully their asses off the field.
There is no way I root for the niners if they are playing before the Rams play. I wouldn't be able to stand them with a chance to go to the SB if we happen to lose. I thought they played after us. Then if the Rams win I would root against the packers. Not a chance now. Go Pack. Fuck the whinners. But make them pay whinners. make them hurt.

The Los Angeles Rams took care of business against an unimpressive Arizona Cardinals team in the wild-card round, but their next opponent will be much tougher – at least on paper. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers await the Rams in the divisional round on Sunday, the third game of the weekend.
The winner will advance to the conference title game to face the Packers or 49ers, and based on the way the Bucs and Rams played this season, it should be a game that comes down to the wire.
Here are eight stats and facts to know about this matchup.

Since Brady joined the Buccaneers, he’s gone 24-7 in the regular season against teams not named the Rams. When facing Los Angeles, he’s 0-2. Obviously, the sample size is small against the Rams, but they’ve had plenty of success when facing him and the Buccaneers in the last two seasons.
In those two games against Los Angeles, Brady has three touchdown passes and two interceptions, throwing for 648 yards and getting sacked four times. The Rams have found ways to throw him off, which has helped them beat Tampa Bay 34-24 and 27-24 in the last two meetings.

Just re-watched the Rams-Bucs Game in Week Three. Few observations.
Rams played really well on both sides of the ball.
The Rams did not run much, and did not run well when they did (about 30 yards through three quarters). Stafford had 31 pass attempts mid-way through the third quarter, when the Rams had built a 28-14 lead. Noticed that not many pass attempts came-off play action.
The Bucs were short-handed in the secondary. Bunting-Murphy was out and Dean went-out in the first quarter. That's two of their top-3 CBs. Also, Pierre-Paul did not play, and Stafford was well-protected
Of course, that game was a long time ago, and both teams are different.
Few Examples:
Tampa's defense is healthy now but it's offense is banged-up. The departed Desean Jackson had a huge game; and Terrell Lewis was very active but has not been game-day-active for weeks. Ramsey did not follow Evans ... but Godwin was healthy then. When Williams and Long were on Evans, they did not 'cover him' at all.
