The man is going to make about a half a million dollars a game this year being semi injured. He just can't stay healthy. I bet this is his last season in LA
If I were to look into the Rams future one year from now....I would expect that Micah Kiser starting @ MLB'er & Cory Littleton slid over in the Mark Barron & Ramik Wilson's ILB'er position.Wouldn't mind seeing Kiser get his shot. Smart kid, great tacking technique ... future starter anyway.

Let’s be honest, he’s not a huge upgrade over Wilson at this point.
People talk crap about Ogletree in the run game, but Barron was just as bad.
I did a quick google searchActually Barron was rated one of the better lbs against the run last season. Look it up .
I believe Barron was rated at having the top measured on field speed at his position by one of the technical reports that clocked players from game video.I don't think we have seen the last of release 7th round selction ILB Travin Howard yet. My thoughts that once he is heathty.... he will be signed back later this fall to the Practice Squad to serve this team in the future. Presently the Rams do not have any LB'er on the PS.
I beleive that Wade feels that a healthy Barron is the perfect starting weakside interior LB for his Defense. When Wade moves fast to his preferred NIckle....Barron's value becomes even more vital to Wade. With only 2 LB'ers behind the DL Barron is outstanding on reading routes, making plays on the ball with great instincts. He is also a proven sure tackler who can cover like a playmaking safety. He has lined up & played WSLB/SSLB/ILB/SS/FS & CB....that says something of his great versitily.
Ramik Wilson can hold his own in the Rams 34 D but when Wade moves to the Nickle Wilson becomes a liability. So we just see Wade remain in the base 34 D longer than usual if Barron is out. I would look for Wade to use a 4-1-6 Dime with Littleton as the only LB & utilize his four excellent Corners in place of Wilson .....
On that site, Barron is listed as a 4-3 OLB. Shows how much those rankings mean...I did a quick google search

Barron is nowhere to be seen.

Yeah.... not true. Barron is a very sure tackler and has the speed to play the pass. He also has a very good football brain. There’s a reason Wade loves the guy. He simply makes the defense better.Let’s be honest, he’s not a huge upgrade over Wilson at this point.

Well, if Barron is not 100%, then he should sit until he is 100%.
a little more research...

Barron Run Stop % at ILB was very high according to PFF. I always though Ogletree was the weak link on the interior.
