Let me put this out there. Baker Mayfield by the Numbers.
With Hue Jackson as head coach. 8 Games. 2-5-1
130/223 attempts. 58.3% 1471 yards. 6.6 yards per attempt. 9 Td's 8 Ints. Average QB rating, 81.7 Avg 16.25 points per game
Since Jackson left 2-1
65/88 Attempts. 73.9% 771 yards 8.1 yards per attempt, 9 Td's 1 Ints. Average QB rating 130.0 Avg 28 points per game.
So if one said, Goff isn't that impressive because half the defenses he beat were the Niners, Raiders, Packers and Cardinals you would be okay with that? No, Yes he played two suspect defense, and the Chiefs. You play who you play. IF Mayfield keeps up like the last 3 games he will end up the year with 32 TD's and 9 INT's. Time will tell.Hue definately crap the bed on designing an offense for baker, as he admitted, but baker still hasn't done anything. The 2 defenses he beat were Atlanta and cinci and Chubb scored 4 tds in those games including a 94 yard run. Ill wait until after the year is done before I start thinking one way or another as to how he stacks up as a player. For the browns sake, I hope he pans out.

AS you forgot to mention the fairly good game, even though they lost, he had against the Chiefs. I'm not saying he is the next Mahomes, but he is better without Jackson, that's for damn sure. Of course, Goff was how good his first year? And the coaching change...................didn't help Goff at all.Why would I say that about Goff when we've seen him beat the teams hes played over the last 2 years? Baker hasn't done anything close to that. I mean 3 games of stats? Seriously?
And you forgot to mention the vikings

Baker Mayfield is the man. He's the future of this sport and he's really exciting to watch. I'll get shot down for this but one of the reasons Goff doesn't get much credit nationally (yet) is that he isn't a rah-rah guy. But this is a business and Baker is the product.
There's a thin line between arrogance and confidence and Baker walks that tightrope like a freaking gymnast.
Hue was such an immense disappointment as a head coach. My opinion of the dude changed dramatically after watching Hard Knocks.
Way I look at it is Mayfield knows he can play in this league. He also knows Hue sucks and doesn't give a F what he thinks. And I seriously doubt that ever hurts him down the line. Only concern for him right now is whether the Browns can hire a good head coach and coordinator.
Addressing your last question as to whether the Browns can hire a good head coach and coordinator, looking at how their organization and system is set up I would say no they can’t .
If I’m a good head coach or even a good O coordinator candidate- there is no way I go into an organization where I have to run day-to-day decisions up to the owner/GM no freaking way I take that position .
Just to add, that organization took "forever" to fire Jackson. That "organization" is dumber than dumb!Addressing your last question as to whether the Browns can hire a good head coach and coordinator, looking at how their organization and system is set up I would say no they can’t .

They hired John Dorsey, the guy who built the Chiefs roster for the most part, to revamp the team.
I'm not sure a HC or OC has to run anything by him or the owner though.
I heard that pretty much the entire Browns team felt the way Mayfield did, and when he spoke up, they considered him to be speaking up for all of them. No matter how it plays outside the Browns locker room, it will play well inside and that's what matters most to that organization.
It went over very, very well with the team according to what I read. Jackson was not well liked I guess, or at least wasn't respected.
