All things considered, *if they were smart*, they would would hold on to JG thru TC/PS. Surely a team will lose their QB, and would make a panic trade a la Bradford to the Vikings
Shhhhh!

Yeah I'm big on players giving back as most know here and these camps are a big way a lot of them do. Not all of them have the big money for foundations but these kind of things are great.Speaking of Davis Mills...
My friend's son just got back from Mills' QB Camp up in Norcross GA. Mills paid for everything for the kids he invited. My friend just had to take his son up there and Mills took care of both of them for the whole camp. I think he had 25 kids in this camp from all over the country. Sounds like a great dude.

Texans quarterback pays it forward with Davis Mills QB Challenge
NORCROSS, Ga. — "I actually hated camps as a kid. It's no fun to stand in lines with 200-300 people." Despite Davis Mills status as a consensus five-star quarterback, with many outlets ranking him as the top quarterback recruit of the 2017 class, he took issue…texanswire.usatoday.com
He finished strong down the stretch last season. It is an interesting situation though. Can Lovie get that team believing and will he have the QB play.I don't see Garoppolo ending up in Cleveland for that reason regardless of the Watson scenario. If not staying with San Francisco IMO, Garoppolo will be traded to Houston because of former Patriot Nick Caserio being there & it's hard for me to fathom even with the Texans being a joke that they feel Davis Mills is a viable option.
That said, Cleveland with 15 mill locked in at the QB position, and that doesnt even count Watson, makes it hard to fathom how (and why) they squeeze JG's 25 mill under the cap.

I suppose if Watson is suspended for a year they could use Garoppolo as a one year stop gap. But they would be investing something like 70 million or more for that position.
IMO that would be a good move for TampaRumors now are that Tampa are thinking about trading for Jimmy to be backup/successor to TB12 again.
10 mill for Baker, 10 mill for Watson, 5 mill for Brissett and JG has a 25 mill tag. 50 mill of cap space spent and Jimmy G is what you have to show for it? I know Cleveland is gonna Brown and all but like the old saying, "Just because I can afford to pay a million dollars for a hot dog, doesnt mean I'll pay a million for a hot dog"Cleveland has $48M of cap space in 2022.
It seems absurd, but the cap hit for Baker is $10.5, and Watson’s is $10M in 2022… They can fit Jimmy, if they want to.
Wow, that's more than what they paid Hue Jackson to do the same thing!"The Browns will be paying Baker Mayfield $588,235 Week 1 to try and beat the Browns"

"The Browns will be paying Baker Mayfield $588,235 Week 1 to try and beat the Browns" - NFL fans poke fun at Cleveland for paying most of former QB's 2022 salary
The Cleveland Browns have moved on from quarterback Baker Mayfield. They traded him to the Carolina Panthers. The Browns, however, are still responsible for the majority of the $18.www.sportskeeda.com
Well… They are more experienced now. They also know the market has gone up. It costs more (now) to pay others to beat you.Wow, that's more than what they paid Hue Jackson to do the same thing!
David Tepper is the wealthiest owner in the NFL. He's worth more than Kroenke unless you factor in Stan's wife. It's going to be fun watching that division unfold in the early going. That owner is loaded and he is hell bent on winning, so you know there's pressure we'll see if they crack.
