Austin makes an impact every time he is on the field. He's just one of those guys you have to account for no matter what. He would also have much better stats if it weren't for penalties - phantom or otherwise. I also don't buy that he was used to the best of his abilities - though he may have very well been a poor route runner. On punts, the other team always had to either punt short or really angle it to try to pin him to the sideline. The results are generally better field position for the offense.
I wanted Tavon with that pick and I still think he has star potential. He may not have done what we want out of that high of a pick but many others have done worse at a higher pick and there is nothing to suggest he's maxed out his ceiling.
