Exactly my point.
The offense struggled for the majority of this last season. Even when the OL finally got sorted and healthy....the O was sluggish for the most part.

Five of those WR's were drafted 26 or later which makes them playoff teams along with the Panthers and Niners.

And sorry that's terrible logic every pick regardless of round or position can bust. Can't play afraid because of what other picks have done in the past. There's every bit of likelihood a Rams rookie WR can produce as @dieterbrock points out with Kupp and Puka the rare exception lately being Tutu ironically who in 8 games had 10 offensive snaps which was atrocious for a rookie picked where he was.
 
Jeebus, if this is how we treat new members, then we won't keep them very long. Its like some are attacking the position of trusting the FO and being excited for one of our players. Weird.

May be worth getting outside and touching grass or something.

A couple years ago we said the same thing about the Rams and iOL. Then they drafted one with their first draft pick and paid big bucks to two others. So it’s not written in stone.
Having said that, I don’t think they care about iLBs lol

Hey if you think it’s so easy for the rams to pick immediately impactful WRs anywhere in the 2025 draft and get results like Kupp & Puka - that’s quite optimistic. Not to mention thinking the 2025 receiver class is on par with 2024.

But hey, I hope you are right. Get us another couple of Kupp’s & Puka next month ram scouts!

Nothing ever is easy. You said it was too much to expect a rookie WR to contribute. I point out they do and they can. What is more likely to happen though a rookie WR comes in and contributes or Tutu contributes in a meaningful way for a playoff team, one that wouldn't use him in the playoffs last year btw.

We're all Rams fans we all want this to be a good signing and for him to blow it up and make anybody doubting this signing look up a recipe for crow. But he's done absolutely nothing to give us reason to believe that he can be a #2 WR on a playoff team, since he's been on this playoff team for 4 years and hasn't done anything yet beyond a couple average games when there were no other options. I get it I really do, I just see nothing to hold out hope but as always I've been wrong before I'll be wrong again and I'll admit it.

I’m puzzled by the signing too. Both from Rams side and Tutu’s side. But with the Rams clearly not wanting Kupp back, there must be a change occurring here by mcvay. It’ll be interesting and fun to see. At worst, the ROD board has their punching bag on the offensive side of the ball. ;)

Nothing personal, but this is all just semantics to me. All their production, regardless of the differences, where instrumental in the Rams winning games. I just think the 10 million is McVay and Snead saying, we're going add a lot more snaps and put more responsibility on your plate. Here's a raise to show that we are confident in your ability to take care of business.

I mostly agree..... but, after watching all of the long Runs the Eagles had against the Rams last season, I'm wondering if they are adjusting their valuation of the position.

Rams signed a similar player in 2016. He averaged 5 fumbles over the next two season, scored a combined 3 tds over those two seasons ( 0 in 2017), and had 509 yds in 2016 and 47 yds in 2017. Similar player, similar stature, and all the same limitations. McVay coached him in 2017.

Agreed. It's basically committing to him as one of the top three WRs. And he played well when on the field last year...I wanted to see more of him. So I'm not mad about the extension....I am just confused that he didn't get more snaps last year over DRob

Then we have whatever they did with Stafford. Part of the remaing is rookie draft class say conservatively 4 million. So much for adding a vet CB, LB or much of anything else. Let alone Jimmy G coming back.
