Honestly? I've been a fan since '99, and sometimes...sometimes we do need that perspective.
It's okay to be angry and walk away, I've been there myself, but it crosses the line when there are actual insults levied against the players, coaches, management, that sort of stuff. That's exactly the reason why this forum was founded, why I've been here and nowhere else for almost sixteen years; this is a place for the homer, for the drunk-on-positivity people who think we're going to win it all every year, and where negativity hiding behind the mask of "realism" was quickly called out.
I'm glad UK made this thread because there is literally no other coach, GM, or owner I would rather have than the ones we have. We can and have done so much worse. There are fans of other teams who would commit mass murder for what we have.
And while I do appreciate the responses that say to not go into the GameDay Thread (I only skim and rarely ever post.) to avoid the things that posters have every right to express...maybe we should look through a different lens? Imagine being a fan of the Browns or the Jets. Imagine being a fan of a team that never wins, that has never had what we have.
Most of the time in St. Louis was losing season after losing season, and only the diehards stuck with them. We've had a lot of success, and I know how quickly that can change to failure from personal experience with each of my teams (St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, Mizzou).
So, yes, I appreciate what UK is saying in terms of perspective.
