They decided to put a "Charger's mini stadium" outside the Rams stadium.... so they would have their own place where they would feel at home.

It's the safe space for 49ers fans where they will be led after playing the Rams. Comes complete with crying towels, nerf toys to throw and punch, along with grief counselors.
Exactly. You are correct. I've seen one of these before, but it was for Seahawk fans...!

When the new stadium is done, that “WHOSE HOUSE?!?” cheer won’t work so well for Charger games.

“Well, it’s the Rams’ house, but we’re tenants!” ... doesn’t have the same ring to it...

Perfect. From the size (see the little men standing under it in the OP), it's the main beams that sit directly on the columns. All of the doo-hickeys on top are the attachment plates & connectors for the space-frame that sits on top of it.
Starting to understand why this stadium is costing so much money--each shop-fabricated section has to be field assembled & painted (unless powder-coated in the shop) on the ground, then lifted in place with a ginormous crane (or two). That roof is costing a LOT of money, especially considering how expansive it is, covering much more area than the stadium itself.
The thing I don't get is: how in the world are they going to keep the birds out??? Are there no birds or pigeons in LA or something?? this is a completely open-air stadium. Birds are going to poop all over everything. Anti-bird netting will have to cover the entire bottom surface of the structure, and spikes will have to be on top of every main column, on top of the scoreboard, every piece of electrical conduit over 1", etc., etc. (or, maybe they just stretch a huge net vertically to infill the huge openings on either end??)

It's left over parts, you know, the kind you always have when you didn't follow the instructions on Christmas Eve.
