While I 100% agree every American has the right too speak their mind, I personally don't want to hear it when spending my entertainment dollars
However it's their choice to talk, not yours to let them talk. They have the right, and of course you have the right not to like it and they nor anyone else cannot take that right away from you.
Though when these people are speaking up it isn't at a time when you are spending any money at all. It's done in interviews, radio appearances and such. Never during a game that I have heard. Not counting the NFL issue which has been addressed and is off limits on this board.
We all have opinions about this topic and one thing each and every one of us should be happy is that we have the right to have our own feelings, thoughts and opinions. As long as those rights are respected by us all everything is fine. And as long as people take the time to remember that all of those rights are shared among us.
The most important part of the entire constitution is the First Amendment and they put if first for a reason. There is nothing that could ever be added that would top that.
Do they have the RIGHT to say what they want? Hell yes! Do I have the RIGHT to choose where I spend my entertainment dollar and what the content of my entertainment is? Hell yes! Does it make me Ignorant or arrogant? freak NO it doesn't!!!!!
And people do that in many ways and not just because some athletes speak up. I won't spend my money on something I don't like either. It would only be ignorant or arrogant to demand that athletes or celebs or anyone for that matter stop voicing an opinion that you didn't like.

@Farr Be It and IMO it's just some dumb interview quotes and tweets. Everyone says dumb shit, or has opinions plenty of people don't like. Just like I have said here they have that right. I'm not even really sure why anyone was so upset with either of them. They both took flak beyond what was fair. But that's typical in our online/social media society.
Though I must say I did take quite a bit of exception to Rosen playing golf on a Trump course with a hat that said Fuck Trump, and even further exception that he had someone take his picture and then he posted it on social media. Many people are going to be offended by a guy wearing a hat with the word fuck on it regardless of any other words on it or not on it. It was low rent, and he should have apologized for it. It seriously lacked maturity and common decency and sense. It wouldn't have stopped me as a GM for drafting him or trading for him though. He did later apologize but that doesn't change the fact it was stupid in the first place.
These are two youngsters who are outspoken and share their opinions, although a little more civility on both of their parts would be helpful. I think that's a facet of how people grow into an identity. I also think that people who are like that are often less entrenched in a belief set than most because they are always willing to engage in conversation about a wide range of issues.
I like opinionated people. I find they listen better because if they didn't care they wouldn't have an opinion in the first place.
