I'm a little skeptical of low profile sites coming up with these things. I haven't heard anything about the Rams considering parting ways with Parkinson this season. My guess is a writer is just spit balling ideas to get people to read his content.

Parkinson was a very productive tight end down the stretch. A big guy with good speed. Knows how to block. And Stafford trusts him. In my mind he's the TE1 with Higbee nearing the end and becoming more injury prone. Ferguson may eventually take on that role but that is likely a little further down the road.

I suppose if he's too expensive to re-sign next year they might let him walk. But it would be a mistake to consider that this year for cap reasons.

Oh man, this is some b$@#% intern on intern crime here. One guy quoting another guy who wrote a stupid thought piece about what if a good player was cut from each team. Never before has it been more important to have trusted news sources.

That's why I go to the Riverfront Times for any breaking info.

No doubt. But he'd slot at 3 on the WR depth chart, leaving plenty of room for the ST spot if the Rams are so inclined. Which they tend not to be of course but maybe this year will be a different.

FWIW, I think we have great depth at pass catcher with Klare and Fergy offering a great third option in the slot and out wide which I think will lead us to increase 12 personnel over last years usage so I'm not so worried about 11 personnel as much next year. So in a way, it's not super necessary to bring in a vet WR....

BUT I do not LOVE our options to back up X or Z receiver if Puka or Adams goes down.

Basically, I think we'll be fine running 11 personnel - it'll just be 12 this year with Klare and Fergy with a little Mumpfield and Daniels (hopefully) sprinkled in. It's the injuries to starters that gets me queasy.

Pretty much what I would have.

Everyone has Connors making the RB room.....and I agree. Excited to see what he can do.
Rivers is a perfect PS guy in that he knows the offense, is not that likely to get poached and can contribute to special teams as well if needed here and there. So, Rivers to the PS makes sense.

Seeing if either McMahon or Limmer can make the 53 will be interesting. Our lack of depth at LT....I don't love Quessenberrys' game....concerns me. Dedich and Trost are locks to make the roster unless one has a disaster of a preseason.

Keeping just 8 OL would concern me a bit. But, I certainly get it. Can also have a few stashed on the PS.

Also, really looking forward to see if Dolac has taken a step and if he shares more snaps at LB. Stuard was a great add as a 4th LB/ST specialist. I could see Landman Speights and Dolac all getting meaningful snaps.

At Edge I have Verse, Young, Stewart, Johnson and Thomas. Keir has been such a snake bit player. But, when he has managed to get on the field, as limited as that has been, he has flashed a bit. I like him to finally get his shot as the 5th edge.

CB I have McDuffie, Watson, Forbes, Lampkin.

S Curl, Kinchens, McCollough.

Quentin Lake and Wallace serve in various roles, from nickel or dime back, to safety to star.

I am interested to see if the Rams put a concerted effort into developing a return game.

All good points.
Adams and Puka are certainly susceptible to getting nicked up. I think there is a chance that the Rams bring in a vet WR for depth, but, I don't expect one of the bigger names that are out there.
Ferguson and Klare certainly gives the Rams a lot of options. Especially in the redzone and especially if they can get solid at blocking. I can see both Ferguson and Klare lining up plenty outside as a receiver.

Oh man, I forgot about him. Those were some dark days. The Rams couldn’t even finalize there roster until they gleaned the cuts and castoffs from the rest of the league. The Rams were the final destination for players to grab one last contract.

Now, there are ex-Rams all over the league—both players and coaches. Teams now wait to see who the Rams are letting go. It is in this regard, having to play those exes every week, that make McVay’s job much harder than most.
