If either one of those LT's is close to our 2nd round selection we better trade up.

At this time in space Rams have no clear idea if Andrew Whitworth will fully recover to being close to what he was before now @ 39 yrs old. Plus there no way to know if Joe Note boom can ever be a complete OLT in the NFL.

Right now JN is holding his own in the pass blocking game but his running blocking is hurting this offense's run game. Hopefully, by the end of the season, JN will have finally developed well enough to run block & hit & stick to his assignment in run blocking. Right now he mostly misses.

Kromer's up to this point have never run out Bobby Evans or Tremayne Anchrum to play LT yet. Both Evans & Anchrum would be very big surprises if they were NFL LT capable. Evans appears to be best as a starting RT or RG or a game day Swing OT reserve. Having not seen Anchrum play yet I just have no idea how you could play a 6-1 7/8 inch tall OL'er @ LT in the NFL.
I like what I see from Boom when he's on the field, yes there's always room for improvement. But where I'm about done with him is his injury history. I've crucified other players for all the injuries have had and Boom is no different. Can't be good if you are training in the tub or on the trainers table.

I get that they love Anchrum and I do as well but his size isn't typical LT where both the guys I've mentioned fit the bill 100%. It's as always going to be a very interesting off season.

This is a great thread. It should be in the DRAFT board, though.

if I look at need, OT is where I’d go ,too. Problem is-after Penei Sewell—big drop off in talent. Radunz, Carman, Eichenberg, Mayfield,Slater-all could be2nd day picks. But none of them are jumping out at me so far.

Terry had a disappointing year-no 2nd round for me. I like Atwell but not before round 3. I also think we could get our linebacker in later rounds.

If the Mods wish to move this to the draft board, that’s fine by me.

As far as OTs go, I’m waiting to see how Noteboom finishes out the year and/or whether Whit is able to return and play well before I put that position at the top of the list of priorities.

I wouldn’t be adverse to taking just linebackers and oline at this point in time

Dwill will most likely be resigned .. hill may get a team friendly deal .. our back end is solid even if we lose jj3

And edge guy and mlb would be good

5. Marco Wilson CB Florida - Wilson is an interesting one because he hasn't performed well this year, but I think it's because Todd Grantham has a horrible scheme that misuses CBs. Wilson's lack of performance should leave him available deeper in the draft. He has the talent to be a lot more than what he was under Grantham (arguably outplayed C.J. Henderson when both were freshmen). I think he's a guy our DC and CB Coach can develop.

I take back everything I said about Marco Wilson. He's a selfish bum who should be nowhere near this team. Played an absolute shit game and then cost his team a shot at the CFP by getting a personal foul after his team got the stop on 3rd down to allow LSU to get into FG range for the GW FG. Fuck that kid.

1. Tamorrion Terry WR Florida State

Would be ecstatic if we landed a WR with that combination speed and size.
put that player with what we already have on offense and our PPG would shoot
right back up to the 2018 avg. With a D maintaining 2020 points allowed?
I should not have even looked at this. That Just effed my day up. LOL

You can never have enough CBs or OL, but I'd avoid that with our top pick unless one is clearly the best player available. The front office seems capable of finding players at these positions every draft from round 3 onward, or by picking the scrap heap via free agency or trade.
For me LB or DL.

A deep threat or huge target at WR could also work. But we spent a 2nd rounder on Jefferson last year and now have Kupp and Woods locked up long term. Not sure spending our top pick on WR makes sense, barring exceptional circumstances of a rare talent somehow falling to us. I'm also not convinced none of Woods/Kupp/Jefferson can be used deep - dunnno why we don't try it.
I would agree at this point in time.

There are several major concerns ongoing @ the DL -Edge rusher/OLB'er posts. Having both starters UFA's & very little ability to sign Leonard Floyd back unless the Rams can find a trade partner in order to trade a long time Ram DT Micheal Brockers. There will be no cutting of Brockers due to the large dead $$$.

Top OLB'ers reserves with the talent to start but have serious health Red Flags Terrell Lewis & Og Okonronkwo. The OLB'er reserve unit contains just Natrez Patrick (Pure Special Teams Player -Zero defensive snaps), Justin Lawler (On injured reserve for two straight seasons) & former Denver Bronco's cut Justin Hollins (who is looking like a potential replacement for Floyd.

The drafting of a talented ready to start edge rusher is paramount to keep this defense playing close to where it has this season. Rams must also replace starting CB Troy Hill. Not so sure David Long is up to par @ this time. Long has been very slow to come around. Plus Rams must deal with the future loss of UFA status of Darious Williams in FA'cy March 2022.

Summary: It would be highly advised to have the 2021 Draft fine-tuned on the 2nd day with the Rams 3 selections of one 2nd rounder & two 3rd rounders of leaning towards a couple of Edge Rushers & an outside corner. Note: Rams have an extra-large amount of groomed DL'ers under contract many have good talent.

Any ideas on a late round return specialist?

A guy like Joe Horn would be a blessing.
