The saddest part of it,or the reality of life is sort of funny.OJ was a special player growing up.He was from SF & finished his career as a 9er.
It’s all a full circle,as I remember Marshall run a Kickoff back against USC & UCSD beat them at home.
The credits show OJ playing Marshall.Adding a little insult to the football part of it. I’ll keep adding to the disappointment of the football part of it though.
As SWdude said it is a love story.I told my GF that the story is wrong in
a lot of ways,but before the Baltimore game I told her I don’t know if the Lockeroom part was true? Seemed hard to believe the setting was just like that?

What's funny about Martz being the bad guy is he came into an offense that was a steaming pile of excrement for a decade. They had changed QBs, RBs, you name it. So of course he's going to come in hard and put his foot in ass. Of course he's going to challenge his QB and make him uncomfortable, knowing that he had lost Green in preseason.

It was the same shit with Vermiel. He ran brutal camps to weed out the quitters. 99 was that third year where what was left was a diamond.

But anyway. I wanted to choke Martz many times but he was part of the solution in that 99 equation. As was Vermiel. If Kurt didn't like the treatment, well, at least they didn't cut him after two days.

Oh and I don't care about Brenda. I just don't. I also don't like her at all. I think Kurt deserves credit for enduring her in fact. So the time they spent on her in the film was annoying. And I like Anna P too but still.

After watching this film I feel Kurt needs to utilize the teachings of his religion and forgive a little. Because those guys were part of what made him who he was that beautiful season.

I finally saw the entire movie. It was similar to what was shown on "An NFL Life".

For me the Kurt Warner Superbowl win was super emotional since it was the first. I was super happy with #2 but I'm hoping we win so many that another title is a happy moment but not a big deal.. This last super bowl was special because it was the LA Rams again. I remember always losing to the viqueens or the cowgirls almost every freaking year.

The movie was decent. I wish they had spread out the football highlights a bit for the superbowl run but I definitely had some sutting onions moments when the superbowl winning toss was shown.

How ever the story was it continued for him to have to prove himself.The Giants he was still a .500 QB,but Eli was there. In Arizona Matt Lienart I remember being in Vegas & a photo of him in a Hottub with 6 Hotties instead of preparing In training camp.

Going back to Tom Nutten was like having Austin Blythe or Brian Allen being your starter instead of building your O’Line. There excellent swing guys,but your going to get your QB killed.
Mad Mike was ok,but the Rams Players Great Show on Turf was great in themselves.

Trent Green & Dickie V brought The Rams a couple 1st rd picks ? Getting rid of Charlie Army was not smart.He brought Faulk & Holt. —I was a E.James guy over Ricky. Colts drafted James because of the trade so there was that as well.

I’ll put my 2 sappy cents into the mix…I loved every moment of the movie. I have had to counsel many couples and have witnessed familial carnage beyond horrific. When a guy like Kurt Warner steps into a difficult marriage…He’s the winner. The Rams were the vehicle to tell his story. And good on Vermeil and Martz for giving him a shot. Didn’t think it showed Martz as a bad guy, it showed him as a tough coach who didn’t want to be embarrassed on National TV. I love Kurt Warner…always will. He treats people well in casual situations in real life. His charity is beyond good. If a man is the sum of what he does, then Kurt Warner is a great man.

When a guy like Kurt Warner steps into a difficult marriage…He’s the winner. The Rams were the vehicle to tell his story.

Except that's the problem, the Rams arent portrayed as the "vehicle" to tell his story.
Why couldnt they tell the truth? It surely tells as good, if not better story.
The Rams believed in him when nobody else did. They signed him to a futures contract (late 1997) and sent him to Europe league to develop. And develop he did, leading league in yardage and TD passes. Earned a spot on the 1998 team where he even saw some playing time. They sure made a big deal about how far away from home he was when playing for the Barnstormers, but yet no mention of the time he spent in Amsterdam, living apart from his wife and kids half a world away? Yeah, I get it, Kurt doesnt want to talk about that either.....
Kurt is a great guy, and has his flaws like everyone else. The story of him showing up at her house unannounced and playing with her kids is amazing. But there is another side to all of this, and the minimizing the Rams, while accentuating the efforts of his college coach and arena owner to me shows his bitterness towards the team.
