Probably zero of these guys hits FA in 2024, but:
Nick Bosa
Chris Jones
Dexter Lawrence
Quinnen Williams
Burns
Simmons
Higgins
Gary
M.Sweat
J.Taylor
T.Diggs
J.Allen (edge)
Winfield Jr
D.Hunter
C.Wilkins
M.Evans
Ridley
L.Williams

And many more. Some of those guys will fit with our Caleb Williams led offense.

I floated it out there in a post about a couple weeks to a month ago. Save all our nickels going into ‘24 and make a run at bosa.
Could you imagine the crushing effect it would have on the 9ers?
The Rams would have their next defensive star to build around just as AD is riding off into the sunset.

Haven’t really looked at all of the numbers, but I’d be curious to see who is best armed for a bidding war between the 2 NFC West rivals.

Zero percent chance the whiners don't, at minimum, franchise tag him. They aren't letting their best player walk out of the building for nothing. But, I'd LOVE to have him.

Media having a field day piling on the Rams for this one. Oh well, bring it on. It's a total purge, and I understand the why.... I am struggling to find the how as far as this team becoming relevant in the near future.

I love logging in and seeing posts with hissy fits still lol

This has been a long time coming, the bill is due. What part do you not understand?

We been making some horrendous draft/personnel moves the last 2 years, part of it with the party mentally of winning a SB, with the crown jewel being the moronic Tutu pick.

Seems as though our pilots are correcting course finally. Let’s see where we land.

You can't find how the duo who built a Super Bowl winner can ever make the Rams relevant again?

Why carry a player with an $18M cap who is not happy? Jefferson is the better XWR, Kupp at ZWR now Atwell/Skowronek at Y. They need the cap space. Their draft class as it stands right now is going to cost over $9M. Clear cap and get a pick.

Wow we are tanking because of a WR who isn't used is traded? Really? Dudes need some strong coffee to wake up.

Don’t forget the Rams propensity to trade. I wouldn’t be surprised if a trade this year before the trade deadline.

So we should expect the teams with the most cap space to do the best this year? Should be some happy Bears, Panthers , Colts and Texan fans this year!!!
No. One would expect teams with more cap space in free agency to have more flexibility to sign free agents; and be in a better position to out-bid other teams because ... wait-for-it ... they have MORE money to offer.

Is that even debatable?

Let's be real about what happened. Signing AR was a major mistake by McVay. It's McVay's and Snead's responsibility to understand whether a player they're signing to a $45m 3 year deal, with $30m or so guaranteed, will actually fit in the offense and be a significant plus for the team. AR didn't and wasn't.

A carpenter-- or coach or GM-- has to choose the right tool. Don't blame the tool if it doesn't fit.

Rams didn't correctly visualize or anticipate what role Robinson could actually play in the offense. Then they couldn't or didn't make timely adjustments to make better use of him. No surprise-- this is not the first time the Rams have failed to make timely adjustments in the offense or to fully utilize a player. Stafford didn't throw him the ball. McVay did nothing to change that.

To be fair, Stafford's elbow cut down his time with AR for preseason reps, and the oline cut down Stafford's time to throw to anyone other than Kupp on the first read. But the year before Stafford didn't throw to Woods much either.

As for cutting bait-- AR requested a trade because he didn't want to play for the Rams. Can't blame him. And at that point the Rams really couldn't keep him, even if they still wanted him or had a better plan for him this year.

Result: Rams lose a receiver, eat $10.5m this year in WR salary, and move up to the 234th pick in the 7th round. Less is more.
Kupp and Stafford were the ones who suggested bringing in ARob. Can't put the full blame on the staff.

I think the plan has always been and will be for 2023, fix the offense, have fun and get into shoot outs but probably can't really compete week in and week out with a really young growing-pains-y defense.

TBH, I would love to compete for a Superbowl next year but I could be entertained for a year by the above concept.
