That may be true but damn on almost every pass play either Kupp or Higbee was the first read.

I almost never saw Robinson be the first read.

And because of the shitty line - Stafford went to his first read on almost every play.
Once again... If that was the end of it, the lack of time for Stafford, then why the need to rush Robinson out of here for peanuts.

Because time to throw was certainly a factor. But clearly there was more to the situation than that.

I was just stating that Robinson probably would have done a lot better last year if Stafford had more time to go thru his reads. There were quite a few times that Robinson was open by more than a yard or two on pass plays and did not get the pass thrown to him

But you're right - there is more to the story

Are the Rams being good to the player since he wants out

Or did he grumble last year about not being thrown to and the Rams have decided enough is enough

Or something else

Simple answer - I don't know and we probably never will

The Philadelphia 76ers did it for multiple years and didn't even hide from it. Also the Houston Astros did it Baseball.

And in those examples, those teams didn't have the sport equivalent of a great/super bowl winning QB, and arguably two top 5 players in the entire league on their rosters.

Not only did they not try to hide from it, they NEVER would have kept AD, Staff or Kupp.

I think people saying we're tanking is a gross overstatement. The defense was already not great last year. The injuries (including Stafford's elbow) decimated the offense. So even if we're bad again, which I don't think we will be, we are definitely not tanking

If they find a corner who can handle himself outside the hash and play the call without his eyes getting him in trouble we're instantly better off than we were with Ramsey back there. Because he freelanced his ass off, his eyes got him in trouble, and he has lost a step. So basically if they hit on a corner we will be upgraded because we also have Durant in year two. And maybe Kendrick can handle the slot, where typically you can stash a slower cover option.

But even if Kendrick can't handle the slot you can find those guys well into drafts. So maybe we find one who's a corner or safety in say round 5.

It is entirely possible that the defense improves in 2023. Just requires hitting on Edge & Corner. That will be tough to pull off both in one offseason but certainly not impossible.

If we hit on an EDGE, AD returns to form and our pass rush is top 10, our even with no additions our DBs will instantly look better. And I agree that the rookies from last year have a great chance to step up

"If you’re a fork you don’t want to be used as a spoon the majority of the time."

Lol, k. There are a lot of excuses to be had for last season... injuries, no time with QB before season, new OC, yada yada yada. No need to bitch about it after you leave and a team paid you handsomely. He should focus on staying healthy and earning chemistry with another QB instead of making excuses for his past failures.

I'm glad the prick is gone. He was potentially a lockerroom problem. Just listen to his BS about it was all McVay's fault for not using him properly. Hello? How about maybe you fucking learn the offense. He had zero chemistry with Stafford who was playing behind a beatup makeshift OL. He's damaged goods now, let's see how his health holds up.

Ok, I wasn't even thinking to comment about the guy, but fuck him now. You got paid, didn't do shit, and got sent to another team like you probably asked to. I hope you suck ass and wish you all the bad luck possible aka FUCK YOU!

I do like how the Rams will stay classy on this. They won't be offering up Robinson's contributions to the failure of the signing but I am sure he played his part.

Just shows we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. Robinson wasn’t happy here.

Revisiting the dumping of Allen Robinson... according to him it was all McVay's fault that he sucked ass with us. Fast forward to today and he has played 4 more games for the Steelers than us and has 95 less yards so far. Wonder if the Steelers are misusing him too?

Terrible signing by McSnead but great job jettisoning him once they realized their mistake. I love that they don't fuck around with whiny pricks no matter the cost. They replaced him with another Robinson (DeMarcus) who has a great attitude and is clearly a better fit with this team.

Enjoy retirement Allen because it's coming sooner than you think.

We basically got Jason Taylor II for him. I regard that as a win right now, and Taylor isn't even starting. When he does start in the triumvirate of YLT - and he will once JJ3 and Fuller leave, and here's hoping JJ3 leaves with a ring - it'll be clear that the Rams fucking won that trade easily.
