For the same reason I can't post on social media about my work and not expect possible blow back.
Talking about locker room issues (starter/backup roles, salaries, redoing deals etc) in a public forum can certainly create team issues inside the locker room.
I don't think he was dissing anyone and I didn't read it that way. Doesn't really matter.
He needs to stay in his lane and shut up.....at least until he can prove himself to be more than a backup that can't stay healthy.
That sucks that your job makes you feel like you can't speak openly. I'm glad the Rams aren't that way. And I disagree that he needs to "shut up." He played well this year when we needed him. He's welcome to state his opinions. If he disparages teammates or management, I'll criticize him for it. I see nothing wrong with this.

Boom's issues are with injuries. If he's healthy, I'd play him at LT. He can be an above average player at the position. Von Miller gave him the business, but Von Miller gives a lot of guys the business. I thought Boom handled himself well after Week 1.
Well I agree that Joe is an average LT & reliable when healthy. The Von Miller thing was worst case for Boom.Von Miller was already in his head & he had to think about it all offseason.

Arcuri good some good experience at LT against the Hags.He almost gave up a sack though when he needed to stay strong.IMO he can play & will improve a lot in the offseason. Brian Allen isn’t a bad mentor to have from Michigan St.

Question Edwards?? Bruss & Hav all being Badgers.IMO that means a little as far as chemistry.

Didn’t like how A’Jack was talking about contracts being adjusted?? I think TJ McDonald did that & found the door. If he is going to talk the talk he needs to back it up & he could be 100% right.

What I gathered from A’ Jackson is he wants to win & I really like his game.

I think I was at least one of The First to say he should be the starting RG. He showed Anchrum respect, but still A’Jack is calm on passing downs & a road grader on running plays. He gives good support & doesn’t let a pass rusher sneak in late on delayed rushes.

:laugh4:Who TF is this guy?? I don't think I've seen even LeBron publicly state his preferred lineup. I mean, KOBE said "ship his ass out" about Bynum...but that was KOBE. Now I'm not saying the man is not entitled to his opinion, but to put it on TWITTER??

I appreciate him making sure he's a starter and all the scenarios though lol

Alaric Jackson knows he is a future starter. It's far from being a secret in the Rams OL. He could start & play four of the 5 OL posts if needed. He knows he is a talent even though he was a Snead UDFA signing & has yet to win an official starting position in TC. I would love to have a half dozen OL'ers just like him ready to play in 2023!

I have never tweeted, bookfaced or tock tic'd..... .but I have no issues with anything this 24 yr old Alaric said.

I love the way this kid plays football & that is what matters to me!

In truth, it would be a good idea to lock in this OL'er in a long-term contract after he finally settles into whatever post he wins in TC...providing he is cleared to play. Alaric's base pay is $940,000K.

When healthy Noteboom is a very good LT. Better in some respects than Jackson. Jackson however offers greater positional flexibility. Alaric can play both OT and OG.

I agree with Jackson that the talent of the current OL is there for a very good starting unit. Noteboom, Jackson, Allen, Shelton and Havenstein as the starters, and gameday backups Nsekhe, Bruss, Thomas, Anchrum and Brewer. In 2024 or 2025 the Rams will release Havenstein for age and cap reasons so Jackson can move to RT. Bruss can start at LG.

Again the base talent is there on the OL right now. I've been saying that for a year.

For me the interesting part was no Edwards, and he likes Boom at LT. Then after that that he prefers to be LG. Probably being honest, probably sees/knows what his teammates can handle. The unspoken word has been spoken, and I put a little truth into it. Looks like he thinks that Glassboom is efficient when he can see the field.

He's just sort of out of line with it....I would imagine someone in management spoke to him....maybe not.
Sort of like the busboy yelling at the chef how to cook a dish......it doesn't mean he's wrong, but, its not really his place.
I am free to say whatever I want.....just like anyone else.
There can be consequences however.....just like for anyone else.

Maybe he is a future starter, maybe not.
I hope he develops to that point. No idea if he will or not.
Perhaps the first test for him would be to not fall apart after a few games of action. If you can't play, you have no value.

The guys playing C might take exception to his tweet.
Im sure they sort of laughed at it.
They are both starting players and getting paid as such.
Jackson is an UDFA who hasn't been a starter, or even a dressing back up for the most part.
He was finally forced into playing due to injury and he folded up like a $5 suitcase.
They may laugh about it.
They may tell him to shut the F up.
They probably don't care either way. They really shouldn't.
Nothing Jackson posts will have any impact on any of them making or not making a roster next year.

The only rule these guys talk about having is you don’t discuss another guys money. I don’t think they’ll have an issue with what he said. If somebodies feelings are hurt they should step up and prove him wrong but I’m not sure they’d have any issue.

I disagree. He's an OL talking about OL play. It's more akin to a chef opining on how the kitchen should be structured (who should be head chef, sous chef, on the line, etc.).

And if a chef did that in a public forum, and management/ownership disagreed with his or her decision to do so, he or she might be fired.

I agree about money being the rule, and he did talk about it. That's the only part I think was truly a mistake. He talked about guys needing to restructure.. that's not good, period.

The rest of it? Hard to know if it's bad or good. Probably depends on who Alaric Jackson is in the locker room, weight room, meeting room and practice field. If he's an ass-kicker and a serious professional? No one says shit, most likely. If he's a slacker? Well.. he's gonna catch shit, imo.

And the Rams could cut Alaric Jackson if they wanted. But they haven't, and I bet they won't.

I wouldn't consider this brutal. (At least from what was posted by the OP), so I adjusted the title.
He may be stepping on some toes, but I don't see anything damming here.

I don’t think they will either. They may tell him not to continue tweeting about this stuff, though.

I kinda' agree with Jackson. The whole sowing discord, undermining coaches concern is overblown in my opinion. These are, as they say, grown ass men.
Besides, the offense needs an alpha/leader since losing Whit - maybe he's it. Who knows?

The money thing otth - maybe too much.

BTW AV, you're chef comment might be a good plot for a movie...

How does anyone know it is actually Jackson’s account?

Leaving out Bruss completely makes me wonder.
