I'm sure you played NCAAF at a high level at Iowa under a terrific OL coach and guru in Kirk Ferentz, made it to the NFL as an UDFA, played well under a terrific coach in Sean McVay before injury and have a similar idea on what successful OL looks like too. Knowing as much as him.
Nice straw man, but this has nothing to do with my knowledge.

Jackson is a player. He is motivated by his self interest and his relationship with his teammates, at least in part. That calls into question his objectivity.

Moreover, as has been proven countless times, the ability to play and the ability to evaluate talent/coach frequently do not overlap.

So…yeah…his comments are interesting, but not necessarily correct.

Here's the one thing in what he said that's a problem.. he talked about restructuring deals.

Mind your own fucking business when it comes to other guys' money...
Deals can go up as well as down or not count as much towards next years cap? Perhaps he should get a new deal and a raise as a starter? Or should we pay him as a draft FA?

The O line needs a talent influx. They were physically outmatched in many games. The Bills game was an eye opener. Whit and Corbett were very much missed. The biggest whiff of the off season was not retaining Corbett. Can't understand that move.

Gotta remember a player is seeing shit through his lense which isn't always going to be meaningful irt how things will be.

For example he won't want to see additions as they mean more competition. But he's not the guy whose ass is on the line for overall performance of the line. If he was he would add to it this offseason because you have to stack that roster to survive a season and there's way too many question marks with that unit.

I wonder if the McVay situation gave him the feeling he could be this open?

Interesting but strange...

Hard to take him seriously when he puts himself as a starter no matter what and doesn't think they need to add anybody else

Ultimately I'm not sure what his goal is other than acting like a fan playing GM and taking veiled shots at his teammates

My take: Say whatever the hell you want in the locker-room, but keep it in-house.

If you think Allen is a "liability" at center, go ahead and tell him to his face. If you think Bruss is so bad he won't even make the team, go ahead and tell him to his face. If you think Edwards should leave, tell him to his face. But why call these guys out in public? What purpose does it serve?

If every player did this ( "ranked" his teammates and announced publicly who should start and who should go), there would be a ton more conflict in the locker room.

Players play, coaches coach. Keep it at that.

Seems Alaric Jackson's doctors mistakenly injected him with sodium thiopental (Pentothal) instead of the blood thinners he was supposed to get.

This is all quite odd,but fits the 2022/2023 Rams motif this far perfectly...

Also, whoever suggests Noteboom as our starting LG is touched....

I'm kind of in between...I think his honesty is refreshing although not a coach it's a fine line about who's job your taking away with that comment.

I do think while refreshing should be in house as it can be divisive and also if someone were to make that comment should be a proven commodity like if big whit had said it no problems. Aj love him but I'm nobody too sure on you yet and who says your penciled in anywhere lol.

50/50 on this but I do think I know where most would stand refreshing yes smart probably not.

Probably won’t be looked at in a favorable light but I think he’s speaking his truth. I can’t say I disagree with him either. I’ve never seen a player do this, so that is quite something.
No such thing as "his truth". It is his opinion.
