The Rams can't be confident in David Quessenberry, AJ Arcuri, and Keagen Trost as a reliable LT replacement for Alaric Jackson. Snead and McVay must have inside information that the NFL will wash its hands of this incident. Maybe this is why they haven't signed free agent LT Taylor Decker or any other free agents.
Maybe or maybe they want to get a look at Trost before they make a move. Keagen Trost is one of those guys, who does not always look the part, but before you know it, he played an outstanding game. Kind of like Ernest Borgnine in Marty.
Plan for the worst and hope for the best. If the Rams think there is any chance AJackson will be suspended more than 2 games I feel confident they’re working on a Plan B that does not include Quesenberry, Trost or Arcuri.

I agree; I know they haven't forgotten the season that wrecked the (2022) season with the devastating offensive line injuries;
During that disastrous campaign, the team suffered a near-record number of injuries up front, forcing them to cycle through 12 different offensive line combinations in their first 12 games.

I doubt the NFL has to let the Rams know anything a about AJ's outlook. However, I do believe that the Rams have contingency plans in place just in case. I don't see them as unprepared here but just waiting to see how it plays out before doing anything.
Just about everything may be available to consume but that doesn't always translate to people understanding and/or appreciating the material. The film Marty (have seen it a number of times ... most recent was about a year or two ago). Still love it but it depicts a time completely unknown to many people.
I dunno. Jackson is a good left tackle. But now there are two incidents. You have to wonder if they can rely on him to stay clean and avoid more punishment from the league.
I think they'll suspend him at least 4 games. Possibly 6. If that happens are they comfortable enough to put Quessenberry there until AJ comes back? I can't imagine they're comfortable with a rookie to man that position. AJ Arcuri hasn't shown he's capable of quality play.
They could just go with in house options and hope either the guy can hold up or use a tight end or running back to chip the edge rusher. The problem is the chemistry the line has developed. Or they can just hope the defense is lights out an win low scoring games early on.

Agree ... there are short-term (2026) and long-term implications (beyond 2026) ... but it's so hard to find a LT.
And FWIW, Jackson is one of the best, if not in the top 3. His stats

I like Jackson for our left tackle. He's been good. The whole line has been good. They have a nice chemistry with each other. And they know how our backs run. But I don't like the potential suspension. If it happens its not likely to be just two games this time. If its 8 games they gotta seriously think about their options.
I wonder if there's been any contact with Taylor Decker's agent? Obviously you don't wanna be paying two left tackles 19-20 million each. But Jackson has no guarantees after this season. If they were to cut him in 2027 the dead cap would be 5 million with a cap savings of 19 million. Which is about the annual salary Decker would want.
I'd prefer to keep Jackson but can we be sure there won't be any more incidents? A 3rd could end up a much longer suspension.

Marty, such a great film, from the "salad days" of NYC. Still had THREE MLB teams here. The peak was close to passing.
