At 24 years old, he sure has a lot of upside & going into his 4th season as a Ram.

well I can’t say either way really on how good he is at LT.
Did you have concerns with him at RT.He was taking a lot of Reps at LT during training camp.
Humpries would a little scarier.Did The Rams win in that Arizona game ? 2024 for a 22/23 year old isn’t the same as a player who played NFL quality Tackle in 2025 ??
No concerns at right tackle. He had a stellar performance there last season in absense of Havenstein.

Let's not even mention/discuss Humphries as an option anywhere he was so bad.

The Rams got destroyed that game. Cardinals beat them something like 40 to 10. I brought the whole family to the game, like 6 of us. Great seats behind the Rams bench about 12 rows up from the field. Many plays that day I had a clear view of McClendon, and it was miserable to watch him at left tackle. Like I mentioned, gave up 3 sacks in the FIRST HALF alone. Couldn't seem to block and was basically man-handled all game long. Very similar to the Humphries disaster last season.

McClendon has totally proven himself, over a full season, to hold his own at right tackle. Your suggestion to move him to left tackle just brought back these horrendous memories of his Cardnials game, and those memories jump out at me as a hell no at left tackle.

Yeah - makes sense, but time will tell.I saw him playing at LT,SO I can’t say Warren even gets resigned at this point.

It exposes a great weakness in our lineup. With his past injury/illness history we should have done better to address this.
I recall this board was deep with posters advocating the importance of drafting a swing Tackle, a guy capable of starting if necessary. A day 3 developmental player was not gonna cut it.

You are our only hope, Obi-Trost. May the force be with you.

I think it’s way too early to speculate. It’s possible that it doesn’t even go to court. Scratches on a wrist? Maybe the PD had to arrest but it’s possible that the entire thing goes away before the season begins. Concern I understand but panic? Seriously? Although it’s definitely a major story for the Ram haters on Turf Show Times. It’s like a wet dream for those hacks.

Yeah - JakeB was over exaggerating. He is back with the AD99 hard.Next it will be like he was the First one to have Text him.

Seriously though I don’t know much about about his first time getting into trouble.Really don’t get into it to much, but this has my interest. —From say 10!years ago A friend told me a story one & his exwife. She was going to go crazy on a Car in the garage. He was dealing with a woman who lost it.
She called the police & he was put in jail right away,no questions.I just wonder how this goes down, thinking his partner might come to her senses ???
Emotionally people can be vindictive & punish a person for not much reason.Throwing my 2 cents in,trying to make sense of the consequences either way.

if AJ is suspended he is not earning his base salary for those games. The money he is not making from his base salary can be applied to his replacement like Decker. AJ earns 1.45 mil per game from his base salary is which is 18.925 mil. They could make AJ sit out the whole season so he earns nothing therefore no extra cap hit. He just stays suspended instead of being cut. Suspending a good starting LT sucks but it would free up money to bring in a reaplcment like Decker and even allow them to throw some of that $$ at Donald too.

.

Damn, arrested for snatching a phone off someone.

I'm sure there's plenty of real criminals for them to arrest.

Were they bored that day?

.
In some states they like to virtue signal and prosecute and persecute while collar (rich) defendants while while REAL crminals get slapped on the wrist. Shit don't work that here in Mississippi, just sayin'.

Felony charge rationale differs from state to state, glad I left the "left" coast.
Well, if it was only a few scratches would there have been a call to 911? Just odd all the way around. Keep in mind regardless of the outcome, the NFL could still suspend him accordingly.

So are you saying we'll be hearing that ever famous line, "big news coming this week!!!!"?

Harrison Mevis has won the PK job!!!

It doesn't work that way here in Tennessee either but California and that idiot Gavin Newsum well that a whole different story, brother. Oh, and while I'm at it, I hope to see Karen Bass that idiot mayor from L.A. out of a job.

Well, I said a few pages back Decker was our best option even though he is only an average tackle these days. Apparently I nailed the "average" description on the head when looking at pff grades. Still best option left though.

Hacks is definitely true. They are the TMZ of Rams news. I would put them a step below a blogger because I'm not sure I ever see them post a real article. Mostly just "what if" concoctions of a negative nature to get clicks.
She probably scratched her own arm before cops showed up so she could get paid, I wonder if cops checked both of their nails for DNA.
I doubt law enforcement wastes their time collecting DNA for scratch fights.
felony (Not Tony Banks Dog)
Made me lol. Blast from a sad past.

Whoa... I knew he got a two game suspension but I didn't think it was every publicized for what. Do you have confirmation of this somewhere?
It was reported at the time he was suspended. He apparently recorded having sex with a woman and refused to delete the video.

That is all that being reported, if they charged him with a felony (Not Tony Banks Dog) most likely, it is more then that.
You realize that if you put a finger on someone whether or not they are hurt they can press felony charges right? I know I've been in that exact situation, just not with a woman. It only matters if the DA also presses charges, then there's somwthing worth going after. If she has a scratch on her arm nothing will happen. Im gonna choose to move on from this thread.
