No concerns at right tackle. He had a stellar performance there last season in absense of Havenstein. At 24 years old, he sure has a lot of upside & going into his 4th season as a Ram.
well I can’t say either way really on how good he is at LT.
Did you have concerns with him at RT.He was taking a lot of Reps at LT during training camp.
Humpries would a little scarier.Did The Rams win in that Arizona game ? 2024 for a 22/23 year old isn’t the same as a player who played NFL quality Tackle in 2025 ??

Let's not even mention/discuss Humphries as an option anywhere he was so bad.
The Rams got destroyed that game. Cardinals beat them something like 40 to 10. I brought the whole family to the game, like 6 of us. Great seats behind the Rams bench about 12 rows up from the field. Many plays that day I had a clear view of McClendon, and it was miserable to watch him at left tackle. Like I mentioned, gave up 3 sacks in the FIRST HALF alone. Couldn't seem to block and was basically man-handled all game long. Very similar to the Humphries disaster last season.
McClendon has totally proven himself, over a full season, to hold his own at right tackle. Your suggestion to move him to left tackle just brought back these horrendous memories of his Cardnials game, and those memories jump out at me as a hell no at left tackle.
I recall this board was deep with posters advocating the importance of drafting a swing Tackle, a guy capable of starting if necessary. A day 3 developmental player was not gonna cut it.It exposes a great weakness in our lineup. With his past injury/illness history we should have done better to address this.
I think it’s way too early to speculate. It’s possible that it doesn’t even go to court. Scratches on a wrist? Maybe the PD had to arrest but it’s possible that the entire thing goes away before the season begins. Concern I understand but panic? Seriously? Although it’s definitely a major story for the Ram haters on Turf Show Times. It’s like a wet dream for those hacks.
