Well, Terrion Arnold, Jonathan Cooper and Josh Jacobs are all on the commissioner's exempt list for their infractions. Jackson is not. So who knows?
I haven't looked into the charges against those three players, but are they similar to Jackson's case?
Absolutely not. Technically, according to the reports, the female was the initial aggressor in AJ's case. Biting is a crime.
Agreed. Two other facts make punishment less likely. He didn't touch her. He touched her phone. And she's no longer a cooperating witness.

Sure. But given how long it's been by now, sure looks doubtful that the league will do anything regarding AJ anytime soon.
Some lawyer folks on here weighed in on this several pages back. Sure sounds like AJ can defer enrolling in his diversion program and avoid legal consequences.
And yeah, the NFL still has the right to conduct its own "independent investigation", but it's gonna be a bad look for them if they get all heavy-handed after AJ's girlfriend dropped all charges and acknowledged she bit him in the first place.
We'll see what happens. But I still say the players union would fight hard for AJ and say he was unfairly accused etc. and the NFL wouldn't want to risk the PR headache.

I don't give a crap what people might think about Goodell's character or ethics or wisdom or anything like that. But there's no doubt the guy knows how to make money. The NFL has absolutely exploded in popularity and wealth under his term as commissioner. In the last 20 years, Team values are ten times what they used to be-- from an average of 900M in 2006 to over 9.3 BILLION in 2026.
My only point is that Goodell isn't gonna make stupid decisions that would harm the League's bottom line. And in my opinion, a long suspension of an innocent star player would lead to bad publicity and therefore harm the NFL's brand.

Goodell sucks as far as I am concerned, fans hate him, but NFL owners seem to love him.
If the following statement is true, I don’t think he’s out of the woods. They could still be investigating then will determine the # of games.

2-This seems to be the crux of the issue.
IIRC, a lawyer posted that he was ELIGIBLE for it if he so chose, but didn’t.
Therefore the NFL has nothing.
