and that's the rub.

We're old (at least I am) I had to go through all the crazy bitches to find the least crazy bitch that I married. He's in his 20's, they're gonna do stupid shit and honestly I can't sit here and blame him for it. I did stupid shit too when I was young, dumb, and full of ... Anyways, generally the truth comes out, and hopefully this is a learning opportunity for him.

If I were the Rams my top priority would be to find his successor, because it's just a matter of time before he has another blood clot of finds another dumb bitch to get into an argument with.
Agreed.
Could well be priority number one after this season.

Not quite as good as 'Rochelle Rochelle" - "A young girls erotic journey from Milan to Minsk" ... worth seeing.
If you enjoyed that movie, I recommend Sack Lunch.
My friend Elaine thought it was much better than the far-too-long English Patient. Not everyone agrees.

I would even grab up the "Melania" DVD as soon as possible before they sell out.
I know a guy Brody who makes Boot-Leg DVDs. Death Blow was terrific but Cry, Cry Again disappointed.

True, though I've never understood the thinking that anyone on the roster- starter, second or third string, or PS player should be retained unless they are viable to actually be competent on the field.

I get it that some guys are working to get up to speed for NFL quality, but at some point, if a guy does not show competency, he probably shouldn't be at any level.
I hear ya, but swinging for the fences every year means too many new bodies to get up to speed to do the job the PS has throughout the season—scout team.

Guys like Acuri serve a purpose BEHIND THE SCENES, but if the Rams get to the point where they need these guys to get real game snaps…you gotta cross your fingers and hope they at least perform like Dedich and Limmer have.

I tend to agree with @Ground Chuck. Arcuri good guy and all, however, IMO, the PS should be used for players with upside not a player that when called upon has been an epic fail. Now, maybe they have seen improvement, but IMO, the players in the UFL that have rated decently at that position should be added over Arcuri.

Even in preseason, Arcuri has not been good, he has been average at best. Find some more that can play that position, although as I mentioned the UFL one of their top tackles was Bobby Evans, however, there were other tackles that played well and I for one would be up for bringing a few of them in over someone like Arcuri.

I think there’s a happy medium here. Certainly a closed door approach to bringing in new players will not improve anything, but anything close to a full scale turnover is counterproductive at this point. I mean, when you stink, you stink. You need players. When you have a title contending roster, those 2-3 year developmental guys might have a bigger role than we think or even hope. I think of Kendall Blanton.

Getting back to Acuri, he’s been around long enough for the Rams to know if he could EVER be relied upon to start a game. I hope he isn’t in their blind spot like a few others have been.

Maybe I was watching the wrong guys or had the numbers confused during preseason last year because I thought Acuri showed improvement. Then again, I thought the red shirt leviston looked pretty good for his first full camp. I believe he was a starter last year after the Rams traded him. Wyatt Bowles impressed me the most and was cut.
…so maybe I don’t anything!

Seriously, had the Rams not traded leveston, we might be a little more optimistic now.

Jackson avoided the felony charge but I doubt he'll avoid a suspension. Best we can hope for is 6 games. Which sucks. We have legitimate championship aspirations. Fielding the wrong guy at that position can cost games. Games that are crucial to gaining home field in the playoffs and avoid going to bad weather cities in January. Humphries cost us a game in Atlanta.

This is the second incident. A big question would be, is that who he really is? Will there be more incidents involving women? Should they consider moving on from him at some point?

I guess I'm just pissed at the guy because its highly likely he's gonna be suspended for at least 6 games. And we're gonna be using a backup at such a critical position. And not because of injury. Because of bad choices. I think the cap ramifications probably would make it prudent to wait till next year if they're considering moving on from him.

I agree on Wyatt Bowles and they did bring him back. That is what I focus on and with Arcuri I really never in any preseason game viewed anything that made me take notice, whereas, with Alaric Jackson when he was an UDRFA, I did notice him, in a good way, Arcuri nothing really good just concern.

Bowles seems solid and I was glad they brought him back because originally they did release him. They only issue with Bowles is, he is a guard only and the Rams like versatility with their backups. I expect Austin Blaske to make some noise this preseason. He played every position on the OL at UNC including LT furthermore he rated very high in pass protection, whereas, Beaux Limmer was unplayable last year.

The NFL is a cold-blooded league; teams won't keep a player if they don't see potential. The Rams must see something in Arcuri; maybe he has improved.

"Any league investigation into the matter will not begin until after all criminal proceedings have run their course, as is standard practice regarding domestic violence allegations."

I though that was interesting. Doesn't seem like that's always the case.(?)

Well I hope the investigation doesn't end until March '27 then.

Arcuri fills a very specific role ... has done so for the past three seasons.

Practice Squad player ... makes about $350,00 per-full-year on the PS. Very Nice Living for most.
Tip-money for @CGI_Ram and @den-the-coach.
Chump Change for @dieterbrock and @RamFan503.
Couch-cushion findings for @Loyal.

He primarily serves as an experienced in-season, weekly practice player that allows the Rams to rest veterans.

That's it. Nothing more. There is often plenty of space on the PS to carry players for limited roles.

If the Rams identify a better or younger option; or don't feel as much of a need to rest veteran starters (Havenstein practiced very infrequently the past two years but he is gone now), they could move-on.

Arcuri ... at 29 ... with 2 games in the past 3 seasons ... is NOT an option for any significant role on game-days.

I think people under estimate how few good offensively line players are in the league and how few have been taught and can implement correct technique. And how few can actually offer anything at OT.

At the lowest level of player teams might pick a guy like Arcuri who can at least run the scout team competently over long term potential when the potential is so miniscule.

Not so sure about that. He started 2 games at LT with Cleveland until they traded for Cam Robinson.
You can say that now that you know the way the movie ends, but had the Rams kept him and coached him along for an entire season, who knows?

We certainly never will.
