We're people thinking he was good or we should rely on him as a backup?

Yikes indeed

The reason I believe is, if you look at Ourlads depth chart, it has Arcuri as the backup to Jackson and no one else. In fairness, the only other players that have played LT on the team is Warren McClendon, who is more of a RT and Leveston in college at Kansas State.

Hopefully they add someone else like Jedrick Willis for example, who IMO, would be an excellent swing Tackle, but at this point, it appears the candidates are McClendon, Leveston & Arcuri.

I don't know the plan, but no matter what, I am confident it doesn't include AJ in the 53-man roster.

Leveston was a rookie last year and has only played for the Rams, were you communicating about two teams in college?
He was signed off our practice squad or is my memory cracked? :)

Perhaps so. It looks like he was placed on IR with a late return in November but then sat out unable to play. My mistake

I am hoping this UDFA Trey Wedig develops out. The dude is 6'7/320
I think he can develop, but he is only a RT, he has never played LT. Played Guard and RT at Wisconsin before his transfer to Indiana last season, where he was a stalwart at RT.

Where was Leveston lining up in training camp? Everything I read said he would need to transition to guard where he could develop into a starter. I could see him making the practice squad; a number of pundits called him a steal at pick 254; but he might be a long shot at LT

Very True, however, at least Leveston has played LT at the collegiate level. Arcuri has too at Michigan State, but Arcuri has struggled when given his opportunity, so I believe Leveston can play RT, but having the experience at LT allows him to be another option for the Rams.

Again, I truly hope the Rams sign someone else, but currently Leveston, Arcuri & McClendon is who is available on the roster.

Arcuri was at Michigan State for six years (2016-2021); and has been with the Rams for three seasons.

He will be 28 when the 2025 seasons starts. Arcuri is ... at the most ... a Practice Squad player with the primary purpose of allowing veteran OL starters plenty of rest in practices during a long regular season.

I held out some hope for him as in preseason, he was okay, but when he received his opportunity in the regular season, it was an epic fail IMHO. On top of that, he cannot play RT. McClendon played LT and was better, but not by much, so now I truly hope the plan is to sign someone like Jedrick Wills because Jackson will need to play every snap otherwise.

I have been a big proponent of Wills on a one-year deal, with some incentives for playing-time and starts.

One-year, as a swing tackle on a high-profile Super Bowl contender could jump-start the former #1's career.

Unlikely to happen because Snead never takes my calls but I can hope, And, if the Booby and Booty threads are indeed removed, much of my "Hopes" related to this Forum, will ... sadly ... disappear.

Wills is by far the best FA option out there at the moment (if he checks out injury wise)

"Wills still has top draft pedigree and would be an upgrade over McClendon as a spot starter, if nothing else. He wouldn’t be asked to come in and lock down an every-week role, either. Los Angeles can’t afford to waste one of the few years Stafford has left in the event of an injury to Jackson or Havenstein. Wills could be key depth on the way to another deep playoff run"

They list us, the Jags, the Jets as the main teams who should sign him as a swing tackle

"Other teams to watch: Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans"
