The Saints are on a short week. They left it all on the field last night. Add to that a nice long plane ride, and losing a couple of hours to boot. I like our chances at home on grass. That said, Goff absolutely must play far better than he did against the Panthers.

Wade P. no doubt will have some special wrinkles to get Donald loose and after Brees. It should be an exciting game.

.

cmac then kamara. fuck me, talk about worse case scenario for the rams run d.

.

Lets get Greg Gaines active after that performance by SJD. Gaines was obviously better in PS. He needs as many downs as he can get before the Playoffs. I'd also bring in one or two other OLB rushers for just pressure as Clay did not live up to expectations for me. I'll take youth & no chance of back spasms this week and maybe Obo can get a tackle from behind as he did in PS. They will attack Hagar & we need to be ready to counter that. We have options. Let's roll the dice and change our active roster & give a couple more players a chance to be our next Littleton. TE Cooks ate us up last seasons first game & we need Rapp looking for that along with all things Kamara. We need a hell of a week of practice & hopefully get Weddle back if it's safe not to reopen that cut. So glad to plat them out of that whistle blowing can. We need to make the most of our positives like outside & grass & hopefully Goff has a great week of practice & is ready with his deep balls & stops locking early on recievers. I wouldn't play #83 except as a decoy. Same with the gnat as a receiver. We need our DT's best effort next to Gaines so Fowler gets hurries & we "F" them up. Must slow down their #13 and his catches. Too automatic. Major RAMIFICATIONS when we get the WIN. I pound Malcolm Brown as much as I can all game as he can't be fun to tackle. Then unleash the beast & throw one to Henderson also. Have a GREAT week of practice RAMS!!!!!!!.

Kamara is a heck of a running back showing the combining quick cuts and power last night. So you have to have some concerns going into this week's game. The Saints didn't do too good against the run last night so they have to be worried about the Gurley-Brown one-two punch. Rams need to get an early lead and keep the pressure on Brees. This will be a playoff game intensity game. Rams have to bring their A-game!

After watching last nights game the Saints looked just as rusty as the Rams. The Texans are a good team but they aren't on the same level as the top tier teams. The Saints defense made Watson look like a 3rd year Aaron Rodgers it was ridiculous. Maybe Watson is that good I dunno? But from what I saw from him last season he probably is somewhere inbetween.

I am always worried about our opponents. Saints will/should have revenge on their minds and I even wonder if they were looking ahead to this matchup. Lets not forget they were the 2nd best team in the conference last year lol. Saints are a great team and will be there in the end, it would be silly to not be a little concerned, but I do think we will win. Good news for us is we get them on a short week and they have to travel.

My thoughts are that Brees gets that ball out fast, especially on the short yardage throws. Rams need to slow that down to give Donald, Brockers, Fowler, etc. time to get to Brees and put a good hit on him. Therefore, our defensive backs need to step up and have a huge game. Mirror those wide receivers and make them pay for any catch. Slow down Brees' decision making. After that, Kamara will have his day, but a losing day for the Aints!

Just don’t want McVay to get cute, giving the ball to the Saints in the 4th with time still on the clock. Time management is going to be paramount.

I think the Saints have more to worry about than the Rams.
NO may feel they are owed vindication but the Rams are gonna show why they represented the NFC in the SB
And I'd be pretty nervous seeing Aaron Donald do squat game 1. What are the chances THAT happens 2 games in a row?
Yikes, get the body bags ready....

Has anyone seen the tweets of the triple teams on AD & that's when Fowler got his sacks on the loop. It's amazing to see the panthers TRIPLE teaming Aaron Donald. When you do that someone is FREE!!!!!!!

Need to get some hits on Brees, if not sacks, while he’s releasing the ball. Take away Thomas and long passes. Not easy to outfox Brees especially on short routes but Wade will still come up with something. O needs to get the lead and run with it, force Saints to play catch up.

I'm worried.

...worried that Payton will set a new all time record on the whine-o-meter.

I mean, we should be worried about every game. Because winning a game is hard period. The Saints should be worried too, everyone should be worried. But why would we worry more so than they are? Is there something that stood out to you that makes them a superbowl team in week 1? What's more troubling is the fact Brees is 40 years old, and only threw one 20 yard pass. Its no secret the guy is getting old and father time is undefeated. Don't get me wrong, dude can still sling it, but how frequently? Kamara is a problem, a big problem. I'm not going to act like we'll shut him down completely.

What I will say is that what exactly makes us worse than they are? What gives them a significant advantage over us at home? Was there something anyone saw in that game that I didn't see? I see a good ass Saints team, its going to be a battle. So am I concerned? I'm concerned about every game this season. But to put things in perspective, Brees had enough time to do his taxes back there. His mental clock will be a lot different when Aaron Donald and Fowler come to town.

About how to stop Kamara, he looks twice as good as McCaffety.
Twice as good as McCaffrey?? Kamara had 97 yds and no TDs. CM went bananas and is one of the 5 best RBs in the game IMO. CM went for 200 yds on us and we got the win.... On the road. Kamara is awesome, but to say he looks twice as good as CM is ridiculous. That kid is a star. I like our chances at home against the Aints.

Exactly. They lose over 24 hours of rest due to playing on Monday night, and then have to travel. That makes a difference. Then they get to play in LA instead of their nice comfortable dome with fans blowing whistles etc - if they try that in LA, I hope they bring hot sauce because they will be eating those whistles. It will be a tough game, since the Saints are a good team, but so are the Rams with multiple advantages.

I just hope the home town Rams fans don't sell their seats to Aints fans. Show up Family, and make some freakin' noise!!!

My twin brother and I just bought season tickets and will be flying in from Philly for the game! I’ve seen similar posts so hopefully the Rams fan from around the nation come “home” for this huge game! I know I’ll be back out for the Bears game if not a few others. I also noticed a decent Rams crowd at the Panthers game so maybe the fan base is growing and not just in size but intensity!
Just another note that Kroenke’s move to LA has been as wildly successful as he could have imagined with his gamble on Sean McVay coming up aces and changing the trajectory of this franchise, hopefully in a manner similar to the hiring of Belichick but with style!

Co-worker was also telling me today the Saints are a bad team on grass. Obviously that is because of their turf, but does anyone have stats on that?
