Just flipping around through this interview and picked up a couple of cool nuggets.
1. Aeneas Williams (by his own account) was the 2nd rated corner coming out behind Todd Lyght.
2. Michael Irvin ran a 4.6 his rookie year when Bernie was a beat writer in Dallas, and scouts called him "too slow."
3. Aeneas' stock dropped between his pro day & the combine because his .40 time was slower at the combine
4. Forget the statistical data (re: Blackmon). He's like Irvin was at THE U. Just a playmaker.
5. It's been too long since the Rams had someone like that on the outside who makes throws easier for the QB.
6. Aeneas did play for Dave McGinnis before (in AZ). And Chuck Cecil (Rams DB coach) was a teammate of Aeneas
7. McGinnis *knows football* and knows how to connect with players. Excellent coach of X's and O's as well
8. Chuck Cecil is *a crazy man*. He's risked life and limb as a player and wanted to hurt receivers over the middle.
9. Unless Kalil is a can't miss, Orlando Pace type player, you have to deal that pick (Aeneas)
10. The key is getting multiple players, and that's easier with very good, experienced coaches.
