Fun podcast with Chris Long interviewing AD….

" He's playing lights out, I don't think there's any nose tackle in the NFL playing the way he's playing" -AD on Greg Gaines.

A lot of us have been noticing but this is a testament to how well Gaines is playing.

Great watch thanks for sharing @Loyal

The problem with saying good things about Aaron Donald is that nothing you say, no matter how good, adequately conveys how incredibly good he really is. No adequate superlative exists. He's easily the best DT in Rams history (impressive for a team that has had guys like Merlin Olsen), easily the best DL (more impressive when you expand the list like that and add Deacon Jones), and a case can be made that he's the best player the Rams have ever had.

It’s no longer necessary to discuss him. All that is needed is to say, “Aaron Donald”

Everyone understands what is inferred.

My wife only knows 4 Rams player names

Guess who the 4 are lol

And one of them is not Matt Stafford

My wife still says - remember that game against Carolina and Donald just picked up the dude and walked around with him

Yes and AD talking about how they're playing off each other is important I think. You can feel that effect. The DL is way more effective right now than they've been for a long while. They are stronger up front vs the run than they were last year, but as AD mentioned that rush with Gaines and Von added in is really starting to click.

29 pressures in one game is insane. It's not something you can keep doing, at least I don't expect them to keep doing it. But this unit might be ready right now to lead us somewhere good. I'm excited man and that's even assuming we're gonna end up just a wildcard due to this covid shit and how tough our sched looks.

This man deserves his own thread every single week since he’s been here but last nights game was something special.

It seemed AD did something to impact the game on almost every play. Even the plays where he didn’t register stats, he was either affecting the play, or affecting the Cardinals decisions and Murrays mental health pre-snap.

Now I know this is really nothing new, some games are more dominant than others but AD’s greatness has been remarkably consistent. Admittedly, I sometimes find myself “numb” to the greatness of AD as I am so used to seeing it every game that I have to remind myself “wait that’s not normal what he just did, other players don’t throw offensive guards at quarterback’s”.

What I am trying to say here is don’t forget to appreciate the time we have 99 (especially in his prime) as he won’t be around forever and you are likely witnessing the greatest to ever do it.

I'm so glad I got to see that guy play in the flesh for a couple of games before moving back to the UK.

I maybe should have worn some clothes, but that's another matter.

There are a number of Rams who really deserves a ring, but none more than 99.

And he's durable! The SOB hasn't missed one game in his entire career, IIRC. And by the way... where is the pass rush/win rate against triple teams?

AD is like no one I've ever seen. Superstar doesn't even begin to describe the impact he has on every game.

Love the fact he doesn’t really know how many sacks he’s got and he’s not really chasing numbers.

I’ve got two jerseys I wear one blue and one white both #99. All time great, possibly the greatest defensive player ever.
