This simulator had Campbell still there which would be oh man run to the podium. Overall this one looks interesting just one trade down with our pick in the 3rd, kept the comp pickView attachment 67582
Yeah this far out it's all guess work but those positions I can see as our targets. I'd be very happy with those positions even if we changed a few players in and out.I'd kill for that draft. I don't think we'd get it, but I'd kill for it.
If you've got the time, I believe PSU/Illinois is a 7:30 prime time game. Its a chance to watch Allar against a pretty good team with good DBs. This game is not going to be an easy win like it looked to be in the summer. The Illini have two good tackles, two good receivers, and a much improved QB in Altmyer.I'd kill for that draft. I don't think we'd get it, but I'd kill for it.
Cam Ward is a beast. Won’t be in the Rams reach but should be the #1 QB in the ‘25 draft
Agh another season Memento.Would prefer not to have Mondon; he's Ogletree the Lesser on the field, and he has serious off-the-field issues. Would also take Shavon Revel Jr. (CB, Eastern Carolina) with our second over Brazzell II. No offense meant to Brazzell, but Revel would become our best cornerback since Ramsey. In the case of Brooks, I'd go with Luke Lachey (TE, Iowa) with the 100th pick and Danny Stutsman (ILB, Oklahoma) over Ewers at #44; I just feel like quarterback is something we take in the first round or not at all. Muhammad, I feel, could be picked at #107, but I love him as a prospect.
As for Kelvin Banks, just not a fan. Too short to be an elite left tackle. If Will Campbell or anyone else at tackle is still available; I'd go with that.
For #197, I'd go receiver: De'Corian Clark. Big, fast, extremely productive, impeccable character. Just had a bad knee injury last year.
Agh another season Memento.
Too short to be an elite LT? 6-4?
Current/Modern era LT's at 6-4
All Pro Jason Peters 6-4
All Pro Duane Brown 6-4
Ever heard of All Pro Jackie Slater? He's 6-4.
Where the hell do you hear your takes on prospects from?
He's not 6'4". 6'3" at most. David Bahktiari is also around the 6'3"/6'4" range, but he's an exception. Most O-linemen that small go inside. Not saying Banks won't be an elite guard, but we need a left tackle most.
And he's probably going ahead of where you're picking anyway because some team is going to think that he's going to be an elite left tackle when he isn't.
I do my own scouting. I admit, it's not up to the level of people who get paid for it, but I trust it more than a lot of the other bloggers; hence being able to call out people who thought that Brandon Scherff would fix our problems on the O-line in the 2015 draft when everyone was saying he was a "can't-miss guard/right tackle" when...he wasn't. People called me out then. I stuck to my guns. I was right. I'm not always right, but I trust my eyes in every process, and I have a mold of player I tend to prefer.View attachment 67924
Here’s Texas official site but I will admit that doesn’t mean much. Combine and Pro Days you get everything official, that said not to many sites falsify height much. Much more likely to have discrepancies with 40 times or weight.
Again just like last year, how do you know he isn’t going to go high in the draft? You have zero clue.
Seriously who do you listen to for your college scouting because people don’t just come up with these wrong assumptions on their own.
