Why the Rams have traded away so many first-round picks: An inside look at Los Angeles' unique draft strategy
The Rams have gone against the grain and it's a draft strategy that has worked well for them

Good article but there’s no way imo the cap drops next year. TV revenue is up and that’s the lions share of it for teams. Plus we’re not the worst off for cap like this says, the Eagles and Saints are screwed next year even if it stays at the current level like I think.
I love these types of insights. Thanks for posting it @PhillyRam.
I find the different ways GMs build teams and look at the draft to be very interesting. I also look at some GMs and wonder how the end up in such a position when they suck at it.
p.s. if you scroll down to some of the other articles there is one saying Baker Mayfield has thrown the longest recorded pass in NFL history at 70 yards. He had to run a few steps to make it. How is that the longest recorded pass?
I'm sure they mean in the air.
Yes I know. There were/are QBs who could throw 50 yards through the goal posts on one knee. I would have thought a guy like Eway would have attempted a Hail Mary longer than 70 yards in his carreer.
Hell, Henderson just threw 70 on an “underrated” segment to get his Madden arm rating boosted!Yes I know. There were/are QBs who could throw 50 yards through the goal posts on one knee...
Most teams don’t really try it past the 50 or so, the thing was he threw it completely out of the end zone. It’s kind of a meaningless stat, if there’s little pass rush and a guy gets a running start how far can he throw it. I’m sure there are guys with bigger arms than mayfield, they just haven’t done it during a game and why not make it completed pass to eliminate Hail Mary bs like this.Yes I know.
