I'm just mad at the people in the LA area who see sports tickets as an arbitrage opportunity.
It's like every fucking thing on the planet is solely for profit.
We're not allowed to have any art, music, sport, culture of ANY kind that's not gated behind some excessively large money transaction that specifically removes that very art, music, sport or culture from the very people those efforts were meant for. It's fan gentrification. A band gets big and all the real fans can't get into the venue... Teams suck and you see the hardcore fans showing up... they get good and those same fans are priced out of the games... when those were the very fans who should be rewarded for their dedication!!! Maybe it's just a massive pet peeve of mine, but I don't think so.
Worse, these arbitrage assholes seem to take pleasure in ruining the experience like a griefer in a video game who thinks it's awesome to kill beginners in the beginning area and make their experience suck. They WANT to sell to opposing fans because they pay more and that's their score keeping... money.
I lament this because I remember when this wasn't normal...even in LA. I know I'm old, but there was a time when every last thing wasn't about money and fans actually cared... insofar as it was almost unheard of for season ticket holders to sell their tickets... at least at the levels we're seeing now.
So, I don't blame Kroenke. He made the best stadium in the world and he's asked a fair price. Rams fans have been willing to pay it.
What's frustrating is that because it's LA (and I grew up there and lived there until about 13 years ago) that it's a RELO city with folks from all over, so you'll have fans from every team in LA. That's fine.
But our place is turning out to be what we ridiculed Vegas for being... an extra home game for every team that travels... and in my humble opinion... it's gross.
Sorry, but it just feels like we're not allowed to care about anything because everything has a fucking price tag on it and I'm that weirdo that doesn't think everything does.
Life goes on and we're kicking their ass even if the entire Bay area were in the stands.
GO RAMS!!! (even if the stadium looks massively red)
