Now come on man, that's just ridiculous!

Only three Blythe's are allowed on one team.

And on the outside at tackle?
I want Whitworth and Whitworth.

"Rookie offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum Jr. saw action with the second-team unit today. This comes after seeing veteran left tackle Andrew Whitworth taking the time to mentor Anchrum during yesterday's practice".
Rookie TA must be doing something right if he is getting reps behind Whitworth @ the crucial LT post. I wonder where Evans or Demby or Edwards was getting reps?

I just can not help it I like what I saw from TA in College I also like everything I have read on him in articles. I feel so much more positive on this rookie making this team some way somewhere.

I think the Rams must really like him. Dang it, no preseason bites me in the ass again.

True.
After cut downs, before week 1 I expect the Rams to sign a T for the practice squad.
A cut from another team.

I am not with you on this thought this time. Rams problems are not @ OT its @ center.

In review of the most probable Ram signed OL'ers IF the season begins.....& leaving out the current two starting OT's......Ram OL is stocked full of OT's & past OT's.

#1-LG Noteboom is far more OT than OG. Is the future starting LT.
#2-Swing OG Edwards @ over 6-6 & near 81 inch wing span was a OT all 4 yrs in college.
#3-Swing OT Evans with his near 35 inch arms was a 3 yr starter @ LT/RT in college & was our swing OT & 7 gm starting RT last season.
#4-Rookie Anchrum was a 2 yr starter @ RT played in 2 CFP national championship gms.
#5-RG Corbett was a 4 yr starting LT in college.
#6-OC Cabral started two college seasons @ LT.
#7-OT Demby was a starting LT all of his 4 seasons in college. He has getting more TC snaps @ OT than OG.

I would not be surprised if the Rams are primed & ready to make a deal with a team just before release deadline for a veteran back up center. It would not surprise me either if Anchrum who is only 6-1 7/8 inch tall 315 lbs 34 inch arms that did 26 reps on the bench....is converted & planned to develop as a future center.

Frankly, I would expect them sign both.
Even if they cut three Cs I would expect them to add another.
That list you gave.....that gives 0% confidence at LT.
0.
RT is fine with depth.

The LT reserve outside the 5 starters IS a concern you are right on that.

I feel real comfortable that if AW were to begin to show a serious downward trending in his performance that Kromer would move his starting LG a few feet to his left & then replace Noteboom with Edwards{11 starts} or Evans{7 starts} or even later Brian Allen{9 starts}. Not a bad position to be in @ LG dob't you think?

You should not have any worries with Noteboom starting @ LT. I would not be surprise to see 3 OC's (Shelton/ Cabral/ Kolone} cut either none have done anything thus far in the NFL not sure if any have a future.

I should let you know that IF it were my decision in planning for the 2021 draft....selecting an LT & a OC will be a top priority even with Snead's poor past resume. Problem with Noteboom in 2021 will be in his last season under contract with the Rams. Rams need to be in a position to find a new starting LT if Noteboom departs for a really nice big contract elsewhere.

Noteboom sliding to LT potentially does nothing for me.
Whitworth would have to get injured to consider that move.
Was looking forward to seeing what Brewer brought to the backup LT spot, but they option is gone.
Edwards at G is fine with me and I’m surprised Noteboom is playing there instead of Edwards.
Evans was solid at RT although a bit inconsistent.
The best option at RT was always a healthy and slimmed down Havenstein with Evans providing depth.
G and RT depth are fine.
The Rams have no proven depth at C it LT as far as I’m concerned.
Would still like them to add some guys to the PS after cut downs to try and develop some more depth.

Am I to understand that you do not see Joseph Noteboom as the heir apparent replacement for Andrew Whitworth as starter in 2020/2021?
Whitworth would have to get injured to consider that move.
Do you not see a strong chance that as Whitworth turns 39 yrs old he will degrade to a point that replacement is mandated & not due to injury?

Agree 100% with you
Edwards at G is fine with me and I’m surprised Noteboom is playing there instead of Edwards.
I have no issues with Edwards starting @ LG or RG. I was surprised after a shortened TC & the loss of an entire preseason that Kromer would make changes once again to his starting two OG's over the later half of 2019. IT's my belief that Edwards played at his best @ LG last season. We also have read reports that the over 6-6 310lb OL'er has been getting reps on the 2nd team OL behind Hav @ RT. This might be a possible reason for the move......with Kromer trending towards the belief that David Edwards will serve the Rams better @ OT than OG. Edwards was a QB in HS & his first season @ college for Wisconsin was @ TE. That does mean something to me.
Evans was solid at RT although a bit inconsistent.
Agree with you here too. From what little I can dig up Evans has been getting a ton of reps @ LT with the #1 with Whitworth getting his breaks & days off. On those days we see Kromer moving Tremayne Anchrum who is seeing most of his reps @ LG move to LT with the #2 OL unit.
The best option at RT was always a healthy and slimmed down Havenstein with Evans providing depth.
I agree completely now lets just hope Hav remembers how to pass block something he forgot last season.
G and RT depth are fine.
It's excellent.

Not unusual for many teams to have this issue. Bottom line Kromer did not see any issues with the collection of OC's he has. Brian Allen being unsound provided Jeremiah Kolone who in his 3rd Kromer training camp an opportunity to secure a roster spot. Kromer has spent two full Ram years under contract & working for Kromer. So JK is not a fresh unknown face to Kromer. JK also played for AAF SD Fleet as starting center in off season time.
Would still like them to add some guys to the PS after cut downs to try and develop some more depth.
I would think that it's almost a given the Rams will have 2 to 3 OL'ers signed to the PS. Two of which will be with Kromer this TC.

I have no idea what their plans are for Noteboom.
He was playing at a C to C - level at G before he was injured.
Then a serious injury.
No idea if he can play NFL LT at a high level.
It would be foolish in my opinion to not have doubts.
Same with their plan to be frank.
Stuff happens but it has hardly gone as designed.
Evans and Edwards have shown they can plays in the NFL.
At a super high level? Maybe in time.
Have Noteboom and or Allen shown they can play in the NFL?

I think the chances are really good that one of these college tackles can develop out to be a serviceable left tackle.

But that's just me. :nice::woozy:

All depends on that the definition of the word "serviceable" means.

Starting LT
Reserve active game day Swing OT
Developmental Practice Squad Reserve LT

IMO the Rams have a future starting LT prospect in 3rd yr OL'er Joseph Noteboom. He is still under development working on that left side interior post just like Andrew Whitworth did for 3 seasons.

From all I've read since the start of TC, including scrimmages, the OL has been getting thier asses handed to them. Is the D that good or the OL that bad?

Best we can hope for is its somewhere in between.
