If a ball hits your hands, you should probably pull it in, especially if you aren't getting destroyed by a defender. It was a high ball for sure, but he should have pulled it down. No, he shouldn't have had. It was a bad throw to a wide open TE.
But we are playing some starters, as I saw Barwin and Quinn in at the game..both of which who are older and probably more prone to injury..expendable I guess. As for football being a dangerous game, I remember Carson Palmer getting injured in a game, blowing out a knee after having not being hit; That injury could have happened walking around his house.
Hating the 49ers is never stupid. It's always the right thing to do.
Those are just bloods nothing to panic about.Holy crap I just really noticed half of the stadium is red. Life in LA, I guess.
Or logical. Football is a dangerous game with physical consequences. Walking around your house usually isn't. Ask the Raiders if they would rest Carr in that game last year if they knew the outcome ahead of time.
Playing starters in a meaningless game is stupid. Just treat it like the bye week the top two seeds get.
Well maybe not that last one.No such thing as a meaningless game. 3 or 4 seed up for grabs. Fans paid to see stars. etc...............
The players are just nervous. This is the first Super Bowl appearance for a lot of their players.I'd be embarrassed as a Niner fan right now. 8 or 9 backups starting for the Rams defense and this is all you can do?

Again, saying I want to win this game with our starters does not equate with a fictitious desire on my part to sacrifice a starter, or anyone to do it.No, but suggesting this game has any significance is. I'd much rather rest these guys, get them ready for the playoffs and lose to the Whiners with backups than win this game while sacrificing a player of importance due to injury.
And sure, a player can get injured walking around their house. But you're really grasping at straws here. The point of resting players in a meaningless game is to prevent injuries in situations that you can control, and give those players (the majority of who are playing with nagging injuries already) another week of rest.
It's another bye week. A bye week these players have earned.
