Bookmarked. I don’t see Fergs moving the needle for this offense.I hope this guy makes the HoF for the Rams.
But just in case he flops, we got tons of memes at the ready

I mean, this could be true. And TE is notorious for it's long development path so even if he is good we may not see it for 2 years.Bookmarked. I don’t see Fergs moving the needle for this offense.

Will be interesting to see from what happens in training camp to start.

Trey McBride gained 270ish total yards his first season, 825 his second and 1200ish his third. He's considered one of the top young TE's in this class.Lately, we have seen some tight ends producing in their first year. Plus he’s familiar with some of the Rams offense, since Oregon uses some of it.
And, the way McVay has been craving a pass catching Tight end for this offense, he is likely to do what it takes to give Ferguson his chances.
I hope you are wrong. Against the Saints, Niners (2nd game) and Jets the offense was anemic vs man coverage. Adding Adams may help that but I think they need more. Hopefully Ferguson makes a difference, like Higbee did against the Vikings in the playoffs, until he was injured.
Watching Higbee against in the Vikings playoff game the other day, has me excited to see what Ferguson can do.
Do people not watch the actual games?Have we EVER done a TE screen?
They will still have Higbee, hopefully he stays healthy, and Allen/Parkinson. If McVay wants to emphasize the position, which I think he does, then I think collectively they easily get over 500 yards out of the bottom 3.Trey McBride gained 270ish total yards his first season, 825 his second and 1200ish his third. I think the floor for Ferg is probably in the 250 total yards range (people will lose their heads over this) but if we can get 500 yards out of him this year I'd be pretty damn happy.
One has to imagine the work he will be doing as a blocker too, he's not just a receiver so don't get all hung up on the total yardage.
I love the optimism but I think anything over 500 is a lot for our 2nd TE.They will still have Higbee, hopefully he stays healthy, and Allen/Parkinson. If McVay wants to emphasize the position, which I think he does, then I think collectively they easily get over 500 yards out of the bottom 3.
Rookie TEs
Bowers had 1194 yards
Pitts had 1024
Laporta had 889
Engram had 772
Kincaid had 673
I think Ferguson can do as well or better than Kincaid if he gets the targets. McBride is a bad example imo. Overall in 2022 (390) and 2023 (268 due to injury) Kyler Murray’s passing attempts were way down both years. Plus they were going through coaching changes.
But, if Higbee is healthy Ferguson isn’t likely to be the primary TE target. If the Rams run a lot of 12 personnel it could be fair to think he may approach what DeMarcus Robinson did in the last few seasons, as the #3 receiver, which in his best season with LA he had 505 yards and 7 TDs.
And yea, of course how quickly he learns the blocking schemes does come into play, but if he’s not the main in-line TE that could simplify things for him.
IMO, unless Parkinson gets moved, Davis might need to beat out those two UDFAs.Can we all agree that at the very least, Fergs needs to beat out Davis by week one? My expectations are higher but apparently are too high.
If he hasn't taken the TE 2 role by week one, that's not gonna be a good sign even with the long runway for TEs.Can we all agree that at the very least, Fergs needs to beat out Davis by week one? My expectations are higher but apparently are too high.
Sounds exhausting! But also sounds like a GREAT damned trip. Not sure 503. Started an early vacation visiting Mesa Verde, Bears Ears and Canyon o the Ancients for spring break. At my Cuz in Elko Nv getting ready to go to Wind River Range in Wyo. for fly fishing and then head to Jackson Hole for white water rafting second week of june. Then on to Black Hills SD for Family meet up for 4th July.
I'm going to be exhausted by the time I get home. Hopefully in time to get a few days of TC in. Not sure when TC tix will be available so going to ask VRF to get mine for me and I can reimburse. I'll be off the grid in Black Hills.
I;m pushingg 72 so got to get some of my bucket list stuff done.

I just got off the phone with @bubbaramfan. We're making our plans and if it's the setup like last years we should be able to make a few practices.... I can't wait to start hearing training camp reports. @bubbaramfan @VeteranRamFan You guys gonna be our ROD reporters again this year?
Yeah, assuming no camp injuries at TE, if another team loses a TE, I could see them moving Parkinson to a desperate team.I won't say there's no way because stranger things have happened, but I think it's extremely unlikely. Allen is younger than Torres (Torres is already twenty-six) and possibly around Redman's age (not sure of Redman's age, but Allen turned twenty-four in February, and I think Redman was a graduate senior at Louisville, if I'm right? Again, not totally sure.), and neither of them have any of the receiving talent Allen has. Allen's issue is his availability, but he played well as a rookie.
I feel it's much more likely that we go with three tight ends (Higbee, Parkinson, Ferguson) if we don't move Parkinson (which I think we should) than Allen getting beat out by either Redman or Torres.
