Just adding this clip on Ioane. Dude is a beast.
Yeah I don't think we're looking OL but if they plan on letting Avila leave in FA he's a possibility. Certainly he's an elite OG prospect. Rushers stop when they hit him.

I think Delane, if there, would be tough to pass on. Would have a great mentor in McDuffie.

McCoy's injury status, if cloudy, makes him a pass. With fewer picks, can't afford to take a risky guy early.

So to me its Delane, or offense with Lemon or Tyson/Tate of one were to fall there. Or trade back for more picks.

Guessing Styles, Reese, Baily, & Baine ate gone.

One WC, as someone else mentioned, do you grab one of the best OGs to come out over the last several years and take Ioane? Not glamorous, but a great pick for the future. Saves future cap space if you decide to move on from Dotson or Avila next year. Also gives you great depth this year.
I think you nailed it - Delane or WR.

It’d be tough to pass on Delane if he’s there. Him or a WR - barring an unexpected top 5-10 stud being there.

I was just thinking this am too about OL. If nobody they love is at 13, would you consider an OL that can play inside and out. Thus giving injury insurance along the line this year and then next year takes one of the open OG spots. Like what if Mauigao dropped and was there. Or just going with one of the other top OL that can play both in emergency (but eventually suited inside). Again, lots of draft options to go at 13.

My opinion...

McDuffie - CB1
Forbes - CB2, for now
Lake - Slot/Star
Wallace - depth slot/star

I think we pick up a mid tier vet free agent. I see us drafting another one too but right now I'm leaning towards it being not at 13. Which means maybe the later drafted CB or mid tier free agent move Forbes to the bench, maybe they don't.

As of right now though I think Forbes will end up being CB2.
Definitely don't want Forbes as the number 2. He's a CB 3/4. I hope the Rams do look to improve the CB 2 as well. Getting McDuffie is a great start but we can always use more CB talent.

Cowboys just gave Aubrey a 2nd Round Tender, meaning they can still match any offer but if they don't they will receive a 2nd round pick. Does anyone think we should delve into these waters. Get ourselves a great place kicker capable of hitting from most places on the field in exchange for the huge expense of a 2nd rounder?
No, too expensive draft capital and kicker salary wise. Aubrey wants to break more than 10 mil per year I believe.

It would be really nice to get him on the first night of the draft and know our corner room is good.

But maybe the Rams chase another corner in FA and we end up in a similar place, where we don't have to sweat it. I prefer the younger corner, but as long as we're not depending on the same dudes it's a win.

D’Angelo Ponds is my favorite corner in this class. Hope he’s there with our second. Not a big corner (5’8”), but insanely talented, athletic, and has serious dawg in him.
I'm starting to officially fantasize about a small trade down in the first grabbing an extra second, and somehow ending up with Omar Cooper Jr., Ponds and Jacob Rodriguez.

I don't ACTUALLY see that happening, but that's certainly in my list of "best-case scenarios".

Have we rams fans not learned anything in 50 years?!? No short CBs. Unless we have a full group of big/tall/long guys and can add one rando in….otherwise Nope

I wonder if the Rams could somehow trade down in the first round and get an additional second round pick to maybe move up if they have to in the second round. Get both Omar cooper and Ponds since we know they love the teammate connection.

If Forbes is our CB2 this season that's a problem. Hope they are going to bring in more talent to prevent that situation.
I'm still hoping for Jamel Dean but don't expect it.

It does seem I'm higher on Forbes than you are. There are much worse problems than the guy who tied for 2nd in passes defensed. He does need to get more consistent and continue to fill out his body, but I think he's still developing.

If we're talking upgrades, I'd like to upgrade Speights and find a better early down option than Fiske. But at this moment I'm doubting all the dream scenarios happen.

No. We will rally around Mevis on 2026. Hell he was the ST MVP once he came on board in 2025.

I am kind of thinking this myself but maybe was afraid of being attacked by the vultures, LOL.

Anyway I can clearly see both sides of the argument, 2nd round picks are precious tender not to be trifled with. But this guy might be worth it. Had Mevis made that kick in Seattle in December we might have won the Super Bowl.
If your putting the Rams Super Bowl woes on Mevis’s only missed kick all year - let me point you to:
-Ajax’s missed pass block in the Falcons game killing a drive
-Corums dropped pass in the Panthers game hurting a drive
-McVays non-challenge in the Seahawks game
-Durant blown coverage on a TD in the Eagles game
-Evans low short punt in the Seahawks game assisting the return TD
