I can see a world where 2026 is about getting this system down and adding foundation to the offense through the draft and then 2027 is about building on it. If they like what the see in 27 he probably gets tagged or an extension.
I'd argue you can't get a system down without good players to execute it. This is putting a lot of emphasis on adding quality players in the draft (and mostly on offense?).

How's Willis who already has question marks and probably needs to be brought along slowly to develop his best self going to learn and execute the system without talent to make the plays actually work.

Such a poorly run team. Maybe Willis's people were like the only thing worse would be to go to Arizona. I don't begrudge MIA tearing it all down but then it just seems like Willis is a waste of resources and a waste of a guy who could hit a ceiling of a Lamar Jackson-lite.

Two things:

- What the hell did they sign Malik Willis for?
- Sure seems like WR at 11 is in play for them there where I thought we'd have our choice between Tyson and Lemon. If for some reason Tyson medicals don't look good then I think we get screwed if we're looking for a WR at 13. I don't like Sadiq at that price. Maybe a corner is there but not ideal given our FA team build. Think this has a significant affect on us.
Yes, unfortunately I think it does. And may push us closer to trading for a WR. IMO, its trade down for Cooper or Boston now.
That's gotta be the worst WR room of all time. They could after 2 1st round WRs, but the o-line, and entire defense suck ass too.
Its certainly the worst in the NFL by a WIDE margin.

Really shuts the door (maybe it's open a peak) on any development for him in the next two years. Would love to be a fly on the wall with him and his team right now.
Willis probably like....

It's crazy they are making teams play in a country that's a minimum 16 hour flight. Fucking unbelievable.
Yeah it's crazy. But WTF.....??? It's the first game of the season and they get 10 days off if they play the next Sunday, 11 if they get a MNF game. Hell they both could get MNF games which would be only right.

You might be right. He should have all the lingo and philosophical pieces down though. I agree that it'll be hard for him to trust it.

What about the awesome room led by Donnie Avery, Keenan Burton, Laurent Robinson, and Derek Stanley?
I still say Dumb and Dumber were just as bad with the middle school offense where 5 receivers would go out 5 to 10 yards half of the pass plays in the first half of each game. The second half was usually desperate pass plays trying to come from behind.

Hollywood Brown just signed to the eagles. Given the injury history of our receivers, I really hope the Rams plan to bring in a vet.
Rams are going to draft one. And having a young cost controlled talent would fit nicely with what we have. It adds depth, and also has the potential to add a dimension we've lacked if they fill the X role.
