Really had high hopes for the kid. Mom being a Rams fan and all.

Guys, he's not dead. Former Rams Cairo Santos and Lucas Havrisik are still kicking in the League. Sucking and getting cut, multiple times, isn't necessarily the end for a kicker. If Karty just keeps working through whatever he needs to work through and if he can shake the suck, the dream is not over.
Of course, having a f'ing Stanford degree to fall back on might affect his decision on his future.
The guy has made a few million dollars kicking a ball so don't feel too bad for the guy. But I did think we had found our kicker for a decade in him. Just don't understand what happened that caused his pre-kick process to progressively keep slowing down. Was weird. He'll probably bounce around a few practice squads for a few more years if he wants to keep trying.
oh yeah... painful reminders of his kicks getting blocked.
and our post-season rankings getting lower & lower with every ST-driven loss.
if we haven't fixed our ST unit, it doesn't matter if AD comes out of retirement or not. It will always bite us in the rear end until it is.

They're talking about that now. #16 highest paid QB. "They're not close". He's under contract for 2026 and promises the SB is the what's important. They'll probably franchise him if they don't extend him. So he'd probably then be available in 2028.
