Nonetheless, he would be a very part time player IMO. A 3rd WR would play more IMO. A swing tackle could be much more valuable. Hell, Simpson (provided they love him) would be much more valuable. A freak of nature like Thieneman would be more valuable. In this very mock, Cooper Jr, Thieneman, and Freeling are still on the board after the trade back.I disagree. That 13 personnel was deadly and we had 4 tight ends in the rotation running it. Now, maybe it depends on your thoughts on Davis Allen - or counting on the continued health of those guys all being able to stay in that rotation - but I think there is definitely a fit.
At the very least he has us trading down and acquiring more picks, but still don't love it.
There is a reason a vast majority of TE's drafted don't impact the team for a few years. We have a shining example in our locker room at this moment.
