With 1st rd picks now being tradable 5 years out, the Rams could attempt to negotiate this years #13 + 1st rounder in ‘28, ‘29 etc

If there’s any position(s) you feel good about spending future 1st’s on…it’s a franchise QB/RB duo.
I don't think that rule has been voted on yet.

I think we might be overlooking another possible reason that we may trade up, its certainly possible that McVay loves Tate and sees no chance he makes it to 13. He has had a history of trying to trade up for a big target. I would not be thrilled by it, but just a thought.

Definite possibility. He wanted Tet McMillan last year, who went 8th.

I would not love giving up capital to move up for him when I like the other 2 WR's a lot, but, I could get it. He has a dimension to his game that we could certainly use.

One interesting player in round 1 is that Oregon safety. His ability to range sideline to sideline is impressive. He is precisely the type of safety I've felt we needed for years now, but of course we're well invested and represented at the position.

And if Downs falls due to medical concerns that sort of adds to it. To me Safety is like TE, where I don't think they're after it but the board may speak to them depending on how they have these guys graded out.

I am all for F dem picks for Love, and I’d like to see Tyson in Horns but I wouldn’t trade up for him. The medical flags feel real and there will be other quality WR’s available.

That’s my take anyway.

One point to be made: of the guys McSnead have tried to trade up for, Bowers and Tet (and Byron Murphy) all seem to be stars (sure we should wait a season or two more to crown them yada yada).

In a vacuum, I like their philosophy of not waiting for the draft to come to them but to try to move up or down to either get a guy they want or grab additional capital and land a spot later where they're good with the bucket of guys who they think will be there later.

I would not bitch if Zion Young was the pick at #13, especially if everyone is so quick to throw BY overboard.
