I don't believe the Rams can wait until pick 66 to get a WR. Many teams need them and I don't think Snead or McVay are the type to pick whoever falls to them because many will be gone by then. And the Rams definitely need a third WR. Not only for this year buy for the next few years as well. I would not mind them taking a tackle with their second pick, or a guard, LB, or defensive line. I have great confidence in Snead and Mcvay and I know you guys do too. The line is set though, so I can't see them drafting on O-lineman until later in the draft and developing them... just like they have done with so many others.

I would certainly like to see them grab a top WR in this draft. The earlier the better, but…

The OL development plan, however, might be a bit overmatched this year. With 4 starters in the last year of their contract, the Rams are gonna need AT LEAST one player who can be a clear cut starter next year. Something none of us knows is the staff’s opinions on the “forgotten men” on the PS and where those players are projected to be (according to the team) in the development process by the end of 2026. How many potential starters, if any, do the Rams think they might already have?

A day 3 pipeline for developing OL prospects should always be open, but the Rams need a T3 now. Acuri is the only guy I can think of on the PS who has any real experience at Tackle and I just can’t see both AJ and McClendon playing every snap for 20 straight games. I would feel better if the Rams drafted an OT before day 3.

Was going to start this in its own thread, thought it might be worthy but didn't want to clutter the board.

Thread Title: Get The Jets On The Phone And Dont Hang Up Til There’s A Deal.

Post: We MUST exhaust all avenues, make every possible attempt to trade for and select with the 2nd (or 3rd) overall pick RB Jeremiah Love. This guy is an impact player along the lines of recent players Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey (these guys go to Super Bowls) and past players Marshall Faulk and Walter Payton (HOFers). Also, if we got Love, Stafford would play another 3 years probably.

How can we get him: offer the Jets Pick 13, Byron Young (Jets need Edge and were drafting one at 2), the compensation from us dealing Kyren or Corum, and spare change if necessary. Or: Pick 13, and Jared Verse. Young and Verse are both about to get paid and we could do without paying one of 'em. We also have very promising Josiah Stewart ready to step into the void. Plus we would have Love at 4 years and relatively cheap money. Kyren is great, but we need a "HOME-RUN HITTER" like Love at RB. Like I stated, it would add year or years to Stafford's careeer.

Hall of Fame level talent that would probably win us a Super Bowl, Jeremiah Love.

And if we can't acquire him because other teams don't want to lose him themselves, at least I would like to be able to say "at least we tried."

And this is also not to say that we can't win the Super Bowl if we don't acquire him. Would love to hear what everyone thinks.

I repeat, get the New York Jets on the phone and don't hang up.

Uh guys, did i STOP at BY and 13? Maybe re-read. I added 2 more things to that. What i meant to say as the 3rd piece was Kyren or Corum to the Jets but if the Jets weren't interested, as they already have Breece Hall, then the compensation we receive from trading either of those 2 guys we trade to the Jets. I also added spare change.

The scenario in which i have Verse in dosent offer pieces 3 or 4, though i wouldn't shut it down.

No but you might be over-rating the return for Williams and/or Corum; and the trade value of ‘spare change’.
You dont think Kyren gets a 3? Corum a 4? These guys have showed out. True that I might be overvaluing it. Spare change can be anything that includes a valuable Future 2 or 3. Admittedly, swinging for the fences with this move.

So, back in 2021, moving from 12 to 3 cost the 9ers 3 no. 1s and a 3. Suggesting a similar trade, for a better pick, for a fraction of the cost does not immediately give the impression of seriousness.
