Arizona taking him would be insane. They have Conner, Allgeier, and Benson who they just drafted fairly high. I seriously cannot imagine them thinking they are RB away.

TEN is the most dangerous team picking in front of us in regards to taking Love. Though they are still weak in several areas, they have tried to address several today.
I said “could” draft him. BPA and all that. I think they’d prefer to trade out.

Benson has failed to distinguish himself in the absence of Connor and other injuries in the room. IMO Connor could be washed or nearing full breakdown. They restructured to keep him around. By all accounts Allgeier is a quality addition.

IMO teams ahead of us like NO, KC know Love isn’t going to be there. They’re reacting via FA.

I feel like it’s still going to require a hefty trade up to get in front of Love’s ultimate draft slot.

Arizona at #3 needs a ton. Just signed a RB. Could still draft Love. Probably would rather trade down and gather picks. It’s a division rival but it’s also LaFluer.

I agree with those looking at TEN at #4 where Love falls no further.

If the Rams want Love they’ll have to get to #3 in my opinion.
Tennessee can have him. Talented kid, but he's a HB, and we already have a productive HB room. If he falls to pick #13, great. Trading up for him? Nah.

You gonna give up #13 and a 2027 1st to upgrade at HB when our top 2 HBs combined for 1998 rushing yards, 16 rushing TDs, and roughly 5 yards per carry last year? I'm not seeing the wisdom in that move.
Yes. I think he’s that special. I think we have a really good team and a very good offense. Love could make our offense great all around.

For this Rams team I would consider it, yes.

The reasons why I’ve stated a gazillion times in a dozen threads.

I can also understand why some, like yourself, aren’t on board with it.

And BTW… I’m still hoping for the Rams to take Payton and sit him. A RB like Love would really help a young QBs transition.

I'd say we're already great on O. After all, we were #1 in the NFL last year. I understand the view he's special. He's a top 10 talent in this draft. For me, it's a positional value issue. I don't think he's Saquon Barkley. But I hear you. It would help to have a bellcow HB who is both a homerun hitter and a good receiver.

Fair enough.

Plus, you could trade Corum either in the trade up for Love or to recoup a mid rd pick. He should get you a high 4th at least. Quality RB with 2 yrs on a cheap deal remaining in a bad RB draft.

Not to derail a draft thread with a hypothetical trade for a player we probably won’t have a shot at but…

Who gets more return in a trade?
Corum or KW ?

The mock draft sims say it’s KW (I’ve tried it).

Corum has the tradable contract but KW has the proven production.

For me, as I believe you, it's about if it's worth the draft capital to get him. Right now I say no.

The Rams are going to have to add some true speed, elusiveness, house call ability and one-on-one beaters to the offense at some point.

Too much reliance on Stafford’s arm to get our offense down the field and into the end zone every week. If we didn’t have Puka, I cringe at the thought of what this offense would look like.

Go get or find some Alpha ball carriers.

The team's fastest RB couldn't get on the field (Hunter).
Ronnie Rivers is a FA now. Maybe we will see Hunter this year.

Seems to me the #13 selection is all but sure to be a WR.

Rounds 2 & 3?

My guess is those selections will play the same position of current Rams entering the final year of their contracts.

Yeah I'm not seeing the value to the team by giving up the capital it would take to draft Love either.
He's a great talent, but for us, right now, I don't think he's our BPA.

McVay tends not to trust rookie HBs with the protections. I think we'll see more of Hunter this year, especially if he can contribute on special teams.
