The team's fastest RB couldn't get on the field (Hunter).
Ronnie Rivers is a FA now. Maybe we will see Hunter this year.
Yeah it’s maddening, and I know the Rams offense was #1 and the RB’s and everyone else had the numbers all that blah blah.

Well, It didn’t look like it was easy from week to week to me. It looked like it was hard to get to 30 ppg to me.

McVay had to call a great game, Stafford had to be near perfect, Nacua had to be in beast mode, and the rest of the skill guys needed to have a try hard game where they make a big boy play and don’t drop critical passes or the RB’s running through a gaping hole and getting ankle tackled 8 yards downfield.

Players needed who can take a handoff and take over a game. Players needed who can catch a 10-15 yard pass and house call it so Stafford can go sit on the bench….instead of grinding it out for 7 minutes between the 20’s and hoping the team can execute the red zone payoff 3 yd TD.

Seems to me the #13 selection is all but sure to be a WR.

Rounds 2 & 3?

My guess is those selections will play the same position of current Rams entering the final year of their contracts.
I agree. If I was a betting man(which Im not) WR is probably going to be our first overall pick. There should be some good ones at #13 or even in a trade down.

McVay tends not to trust rookie HBs with the protections. I think we'll see more of Hunter this year, especially if he can contribute on special teams.
If??
On literally the worst STs squad of 2025, he couldn't even make one ST appearance?
There's something seriously wrong w/ Hunter. I hope you're right but, at this point, our 4th round pick that we traded up for didn't even see one snap -- not in garbage time, not on ST's, not one snap in the 2025 regular season. Maybe because he was "behind Rivers"... but, really, that far behind that he didn't get even 1 snap, in any shape or form?
I love our RB room, too, incredibly productive. But no one in that room is making a D stack the box like they did for Gurley, which is why I believe (iirc) most opposing D's were almost always in nickel to defend against Puka & Adams vs. defending against our RBs; in fact, this might explain just why they were so productive. And I'm one of the biggest KW & BC fans on this board, they're perfect in many ways, but we get a guy like Love on the team, and lookout.... 9 could easily pass for 400+ yards every game.
And a plus RB room will help a rookie QB transition nicely in '27 / '28, barring a blockbuster trade for Burrow.

Again, I'm fine with taking Love at #13 if he falls. What I don't support is making a huge trade up to get him. I think you're overstating the difference he'll make. For Stafford to throw for 400+ yards per game, we'd have to throw the ball more next year than we did this year. That seems unlikely if Love is as good as people think. And if we trade up for Love, what draft capital will we have to acquire a rookie QB or be a player in the Burrow sweepstakes?

Agree with jrry32. I'm flipping. NO trade up for Love. We cant trade any more 2027 Draft Capital (already gave up a 3). We MUST, in any emergency case scenario have adequate capital to either move up in Draft for Quarterback OR Trade for the Burrow-type veteran in '27. This is not to say Stafford cant be great for us for next 2-3 years, but we have to prepare for the next guy. IF there's a way to trade up for Love using only 2026 Capital and/or players THEN we can talk Love.
